-I can't take these close games. I just can't. I thought that 3 was in.

-Home games. I want more home games.

-I don't have twitter but was on it reading a hilarious UK spoof account of Dr. Eli Capuloto or however you spell it. Anyways, ran into FunKYs Twitter by accident when I saw you commented on something of his. Thought that was funny.

I have been watching Hannibal over the last 2 weeks. Just the first season. I absolutely love it. Just great all around.

Blue Rupp- I agree about the home games. Last night pissed me off. We squandered a 13 point lead. I dunno. Their offense makes me shake my head.

LEK- I use to watch Hannibal. Not anymore. The more I watched it, the more I hate the guy who plays Hannibal. Interesting fact about the show, each season is about a certain style of cooking of human meat. I wanna say season 2 is French style cannibalism.

LEK: Hilarious GIF. Hahaha.

Love the "W". Yep, another true nail-biter.

And loving this Central Texas weather. Biking to- and from work again today.

Not sure why...but that cracked me up.

A win is a win is a win...

...I'm going to go ahead and add something to the rant list anyway. Might be a good idea for someone to point out to our players that we have twelve 7' players on the team and that we should probably think about tossing the ball to one of them from time to time. Especially to that Karl dude...he's pretty good...

I just feel the need to point out Willy's excellent take on Brad Nessler. From a thread on the Rafters,

"If there was such a thing as a generic human being. It's Nessler. No personality, no soul. Just a meat bag full of body fluids.".

Many other good game related/insightful comments over here as well. 24-0, the Big Blue Train rolls on.

I confess:

I pulled the Sister Schubert's out of the freezer with about 5 min left in the half. I let em thaw a little (because you don't bake without thawing first...if even only for a little bit. Makes a big difference). We were playing great. I was feeling great. High on life. I put those puppies in the oven as soon as halftime started. Towards the end of halftime I could smell em. MMmmmm, Schuberts!! Patience. I let them cook for 21-22 minutes, and they timer went off a couple minutes into the second half. At that point the Schubert's took over. I was a like a starved dog focused on one thing and one thing only - mf'n schuberts. I got out the butter and microwaved it a bit to soften it up. Got out the jar of seedless blackberry jam. I went to work on those Schubert's. 7 rolls: 5 with jam and butter, and 2 with just butter. I was salivating. Lost all awareness. I'm enjoying those and next thing I know there's like 12 min left and the damn game is close again! I was shocked. The Schubert's were gone and it was back to reality. I vow to never again bake celebration Schubert's till I know for certain that the game is in our hands. I learned my lesson It was immature and I will learn from this.

This is not a joke. I'm sorry.

I'll remind you of that if you remind me to go on a rant about the starters coming out of the gate every game like they are in a pillow fight with Victoria's Secret models. Oh yeah, and also remind me about how much I looooooooooooooooove platoons. You do those two things for me...and i will return the favor in kind.

Deal?

Calm like a bomb.

Cats by 5.
OK. Reminding two of my D-league buddies that they are due for their respective rants. For myself and all other D-league friends, buckle-up and prepare. FCC.

- I'll be doing the dinner thing this weekend. Actually, it is my birthday dinner (bd was Monday).

I tried to get the wife to go to dinner last Sat. before the game, but no. She wanted to go to some bar/birthday party for one of her co-workers. So we did that. It was a bust, but I got home in time for the game.

- My major accomplishment this morning has been moving a set of files to a different directory to make some software work. I kept getting an error message that would stay on the screen for only a millisecond. Used my phone to make a video of the screen and slow it down. Feeling pretty clever about that.

- Sister Schubert's sounds good Mash, but yeah wait until the game is won next time.

I am taking the wife out for dinner on V-Day. (No willy...that doesn't stand for ****** Day...it stands for Valentines Day.) I have reservations at two places...Jeff Ruby's and Jack Fry's. Will decide tonight which one to cancel.

Also doing the flowers thing except it is a dozen stargazer lilies not roses. Roses are too vanilla and stargazer lillies were used in our wedding. Chicks dig it when you remember ish like that. Which brings me to the grande finale...Also giving her a box with a special gift inside it when we get home from dinner.

Oh I absolutely am. How could somebody not like that sad-sack, Yoda-lookin' sonofagun? Even though he was a cheatin' S.O.B. he still rammed it up the NCAA's *** and also gave Duke one of the all-time *****-slap beat-downs in the title game -- and for those reasons alone he deserves more sympathy.

Hi, Field Goat. How are you? Oh, you don't give a ****? Me either.

Good work FCC. Keep The D Alive.

Saw where Lloyd Tubman was dismissed of rape charges. Rape is very bad. It is very serious accusation. I feel that sometimes, especially high profile cases in the media, women wrongly cry rape and that hurts other women who were raped, as well as the accused. In this case, Tubman lost a semester of college (I'm assuming...). Hopefully he can get back on track and stay away from situations like the one he just got out of.

A lot of people won't even see that Lloyd Tubman was dismissed of this heinous crime...certainly not the number of persons who saw the initial rape allegations that were plastered all over the local news for a week.

Haven't had a whole lotta time to paruse this place at all, this week.

Saw this story title, clicked on it and immediately thought you all would enjoy the sights (and site), enjoy D-L'ers.

Disturbing: Montana Law Maker Wants To Ban Yoga Pants

- KAT is in complete "beast-mode 2.0" these past 2 games and his learning curve is absolutely through the roof. I'll give him a pass for hanging on the rim, just great learning exp. for him IMO.

- Happy as hell for Andrew's play/development of late...Now shuddap EVERYBODY!!!

- If you haven';t watched Cal's PressC from last night, I recommend it. His opinions on why he wants to
maintain, at least, a 10+ game winning streak are so right that I have ZERO doubt that we're going to win the title thi year....#9 Baby!!!

Two away from UCLA. I can see that happening within the next 4-5 years.

I NEVER woulda figured that EVER happening in my lifetime.

We are blessed...GO CATS!!!

He never had any redeeming qualities for me, and this is especially true in light of the evidence that has come out about UNC in the last year or so. I just hope we can all still be friends now that y'all realize what a heartless bastard I am

People are bored Mash. Everybody has to have an opinion on everything. What gets me are the people who say "Well if he raped that girl, he should be off the team!!" No **** Sherlock.

KAT has definitely been a beast. Our offense needs to run through him every possession that he is on the floor.

I concur on Andrew. He has been playing much better. I still think Ulis is a better PG. Obviously Ulis had a bad game against LSU but on the whole Ulis is a better PG. Also, I think Andrew plays better when he and Ulis are in the game together. It takes pressure off of Andrew. Especially on the ball handling front against full court pressure.

Good stuff.

KS & GoCats - I agree, KAT needs to touch the ball on every possesion. Unless he is on the bench of course.

LEK is the Kung Fu gu-ru, but it reminds me of a type of din mak, as popularized by JCVD in Bloodsport[/I].

Playing Devil's Advocate for a second ...

If any other coach was pulling that 'cheering for the other team' stuff, even if just to prove a point, then we would be crucifying him on the boards, in the media, etc. Just because Cal is uber-successful doesn't mean that is psychologically a good move.

I get it. I do. Buuuuuuuuut, he's dealing with kids whose abstract part of their mind just opened up a few years ago. If they had gone on to lose that game it would have looked horrible on Cal, and rightfully so. He's a master manipulator, but this is going too far, in my opinion.

I am not comparing the two as coaches or human beings in general, but I'm sure we all remember that little jackass smirk that Gillispie would sport when the team was playing like crap. Is this that much different?

Fire away.
