- I think a woman tried to bit on me tonight. I was in a store with my daughter. We were checking out (let her. Uh some candy hearts). The woman in front of us asked if the big spender wanted to just add the candy to her purchase. She was attractive, long legs, tall high-healed boots, and short skirt. I just replied no thanks. Didn't think about it until after I left.

Thanks, all. I have 6 cousins with special needs. Hesh, let your brother know first shot is on me (if he drinks) if we ever meet. Sounds like a cool guy to hang with. And don't get me started on handicap hangtags. They are abused daily. Here in Charleston, if you have a handicap sticker/tag/hangtag, you park free at metered spaces. We used to have people at my hospital with handicap access park all day long. They WORK there. Just because you take Big Mama to the doctor once a week or so and she's disabled...doesn't mean you abuse it when she's not in the vehicle. It got so bad they changed the ordinance.
Took a lady friend to see Black or White tonite. She liked it, having three biracial grandkids herself. Me, I give it a C. A bit too overwrought painting the difference between the two sides, but Octavia Spencer was delightful.

Blu...I am all for stem cell research. And i already did and will continue to pray for your brother. Sounds like he has a great attitude and is a true inspiration. Hard to say how anyone would deal with that situation. Kudos to you and your family for treating him normal. And people that falsely use handicap parking spaces are scum...just plain scum.
Anyone catch that story about the Hatch kid on the Michigan basketball team. Dude survived two plan crashes the second of which left him with severe injuries and a medically induced coma. Lost his mom and 2 siblings in the 1st plane crash and lost his dad and his step mom in the 2nd crash. But the dude has the most positive attitude in the world. Busted his tail to rehab his way back onto the court. Michigan honored his scholly and he is on the team now. Very inspirational story.

Was yakking it up with some colleagues about the weekend, and told them about the handicapped guy. The consensus was that they would have been laughing their heads off, then felt like I did after they saw the wheelchair. Then this question came up out of the blue.
"Tee, you're damn near a hero to us middle-aged married guys. What the @#&* is your secret?"
I was going to answer with some kind of joke, but I saw that Eric was being serious. So here's the serious answer I gave him.
"E, there is no secret. I'm old enough to know not to take my self too serious, and I know I'm not the best looking guy in the club. I know my limits. I know not to go for the best dime in the place, yet I don't bottom feed either. If a woman has had too much, I leave her the hell alone. I seek out the 6's and 7's and the closer to my age the better. If there's more than two women together, I leave them alone UNLESS they look like they really want to dance. Saturday night there was a group of five black women together. I went nowhere near them because I remember when my ex went out with her friends. If the guy didn't pass muster with the entire group, he was SOOL. Time is short, and if I don't have a target locked in by midnight, I'm going to bed alone. You have to pick your target and pick wisely. My crew frankly aren't true wingmen...good for drinking but not so good as backup for a group of women. I mix in a little humor when I'm speaking with a woman, but I'm not doing a stand up routine. And I mostly listen, and pretend to be interested even when I'm not. And if you REALLY want to know my secret, it's simple. Learn to dance, and learn how to ask a woman to dance."
Bernard chimed in with "Damn, son, you're right about the sisters! They complain about the brothers, but they all go out as a herd and they all judge you as you're coming. If you ain't Denzel, you ain't got a shot!"

Saw where he was in a car wreck but i don't know the details. Not why i brought this up. I brought up Mr./Mrs. Jenner because my wife used to watch the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" show. Not religiously...but she would watch it it every now and then.
Sooooo...me being the loving, understanding husband that i am...every time i walked in the room when she was watching that wonderful show i would lovingly say, "WTF do you watch that piece of crap show?"
Her response? "Because it is a train wreck." Now that part i get. I used to watch the Bobby Brown/Whitney Houston reality show sometimes just for the train wreck value. Used to love it when Whitney would yell in that raspy, drugged out voice..."BOBBAAAAY! BOBBAAAY!" [/I]Classic. Shameful...but classic.
Anyway...she also always used to say that she watched it "because she liked Bruce Jenner and that he was the ONLY NORMAL PERSON on the show".
To which i always responded..."Yeah, he's normal alright. If you consider multiple plastic surgeries to the point that your face is deformed NORMAL. In fact, they should ditch the Kardashians altogether and the show should be called, "Keeping Up With Joan Rivers"...or "Keeping Up With Michael Jackson". I always pointed out that he looked more and more feminine with each plastic surgery. She scoffed at me.
You can imagine the fun I have had teasing my wife since ol' Brucy has revealed his desire to become a woman. It's a small victory yes...but a victory all the same. A win is a win.
