+1....

but it why isn't Andy Griffith Matlock Ritz as a mufo option? Nothing's better when it sits on a Ritz.

Who's this Omar The Wanderer? A crackhead? Seems pesky. I don't trust him.

This Bocchino guy, wow! What a hero!

Frank Bocchino plumbing-$1000. We have yet to receive invoice from the Jordanian. editors note: Omar told wife that he was happy for us. He took his heater and left.

Omar is the original, hard-to-understand plumber who bought this industrial heater and was making some **** up early in the debacle. He tried his hotshot, but hooked it up wrong. He was a wanderer because he would just arrive at his own convenience and schedule... You know, like a plumber.

Thank you... I appreciate the more northern placement so we can enjoy the effects of the nippy pool water....

Thanks for the detailed update, man. The Bocchino Effect FTW. So happy for you and your family.

So did they have any suggestions for making sure it doesn't freeze again before Spring? I know your long range plan...but what is the short term plan?

I bet there isn't a live worm within 10' of that pipe in any direction. 320A is smokin'. To give you an idea...depending on the size of your house you probably have either a 200A service or a 400A service for the entire house. Probably the later.

Lastly, i said what i meant and i meant what i said about you sticking around and posting as a regular contributor in the D-League. Furthermore, I hereby nominate Frank Bocchino & Son as honorary D-League members and as the official D-League Plumber.

Bravo Bocchino!

-Alright i'm done with these close games. Let's blow out the rest of the competition.

-30-0. Looks pretty nice, especially on Kate Uptons tittays.

According to the D-League Kangaroo Court Bylaws...Mav is hereby subject to a minimum of 10 demerits (maximum not to exceed 50 demerits) for waiting 30 games to make this essential adjustment.

Shame on you, mav. I expected better from you...and thusly recommend the maximum allowable penalty.

Hell of a story Kooky. That is some crazy stuff. Glad it worked out for you.

Cats totally pulled that win out of their azz somehow and I am glad. I don't want to jinx this team, but I have to be real. I've got 40-0 fever. I've got it. Been drivin' me crazy the last few days. I keep looking at the board like there will be some magic post that will let me know that we are going to win. The game tonight made me feel absolutely sick for 38 min.

Feels good to get that off my chest.

So many reasons why we should have lost that game....

Willy was non-existent. Ulis played horrible. After scoring 18 points in each of the last two games...Lyles couldn't do jack. We also let Vlade Divac's mini-me run rampant in the paint and score at will. KAT played a good 2nd half but got in foul trouble. Booker's shot was off. Aaron hit some big shots but he wasn't shooting well either. Booker shot horrible. Etc...

But we hung in there, didn't fold or panic and did what it took to win. Love this team.

EIGHTY degrees in Charleston right now. 80. Yoga pants, leggings, and short skirts as far as the eye can see. I'm not going home after work, I'm going to skulk around downtown and feast on eye candy! Too bad it'll be 30 degrees cooler on Friday.

Ghost, I am strongly considering taking my fam down to Charleston in the summer, condo / house rental type deal. Other potential destinations are Gulf Shores / Orange Beach, Pensacola, maybe St. Augustine.

Would you recommend Charleston as a family friendly destination?

Charleston IS family friendly. Depending on how old the children are, prepare to do a LOT of walking. If you're going to do a rental, I'd recommend Folly Beach instead of Sullivans Island or Isle of Palms...but if money ain't a problem, roll with Sullivans. The only negative thing I can say about Chucktown is that it's BRUTALLY hot in the summer with the humidity. If May/June isn't in your plans I'd seriously wait til September. If you come in July/August, plan the outdoor stuff for early morning before noon, or wait til after 5. You'll still have 3 and a half hours of daylight even if you come out after 5.

You CAN get rentals during the summer season on the peninsula, but it'll run as much as a beach rental. I'll do some research and get back to you.

Before I forget, kids LOVE the ghost tours here (if you feel they can handle it). Patriots Point (with the WWII ships) is a kid favorite as well. Both require walking tho, but the ghost tours have plenty of rest stops and Patriots Pint is self-guided.

I greatly appreciate the info Ghost. My babes will be 3.5 and 1 by the time we head out, so definitely younger. We'll have a set of grandparents with us also to hopefully get one or two nights to ourselves. Ghost tours sound awesome, we would find a way to work one in.

That definitely makes sense about the heat. We were at Hilton Head last year in earlier September and even then, it was disgusting hot. When you are in a full on mid-marathon sweat playing putt-putt golf at 11AM, you know it's a bit warm.

We're trying for late May but realistically will probably book for early / mid September.

Willy, 27 degrees, 1 inch of sleet already, and 8-12 inches of snow coming. Bear in mind that we just had the 3 weeks of snow on the ground, melt, due to 3 inches of rain yesterday and this morning. Water table should be getting in pretty good shape. Creek is up, prolly out by now. Fun stuff, just hope the change over to snow happens before ice gets deep on the power lines. Wish you was here! Talk to me Willy. Kids prolly won't have school the rest of the week.

To all of my d-league friends, just in case I tach out, it's been a lot of fun. And hey desperado, come on back and lay some heavy stuff on us.

OK Mr. Superstitious Teacher Man...you realize this now means that anytime the cats fall behind in a game you must immediately take a nap.

Welp.

No water again. I won't bore you again with my problems....but we got a flood last night.

Sewer line frozen... Or as Cousin Eddie would say, "Shitters full."

In the afterglow of the 'Frank Bocchino Effect', wifey showered, kid showered, dishwasher running baby bottles- all ran and subsequently drained into a clogged frozen ball of street feces and backed up and waterfalled out of the cellar slopsink and all over rec room...Unbeknownst to us, until a wave of assfunk filled the house. Tasty.

Good thing my shower stuff was still as sisters...

Frank Bocchino was called. He called a Rooter guy who disassembled my automatic garage door sensor to access the sewer clean out. Garage left open.

Problem unsolved. I'm on bus. Left work early to deal with some of this. Snowstorm coming. 7 degree cold coming.

Wife crying as she's been pouring pot after pot of boiling water and some chemical down cleanout...

My life is....

Kooky...wow...just wow.

I would repeat my mantra of "hang in there"...but at this point I'll be happy if you don't go postal and kill everyone at the bus stop. That's probably what i would do. At least they have working plumbing jail.

Kidding. You do need to hang in there. Things gotta get better soon for you and your family. Just a really, really long string of bad luck. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just happens to be a really long tunnel full of ish.

Why I'm not worried about Notre Dame - at all. End of a game against a ranked opponent, at home, fairly close but comfortable lead, conference rivalry game.

2 guys on the bench who have taken of their warm ups. 2. We would/will murder them with depth.

Nah...I'm from off. Even tho I've lived in Chucktown on and off for 30 years, if your great-great-grandparents weren't born and raised here, you're from 'off'. No exceptions. But the ghost tours are a lot of fun; Charleston has a LOT of ghosts! One day when things are slow on the 'D', I'll tell y'all the 3 ghost stories I'm a part of.

Was pretty busy all day at the office until leaving early cause of Snowmageddon 2.0, so I wasn't on the comp and didn't get a chance to properly thank you.

Thank you. Thank you very, very much.

Kook, seriously brother, stay strong. I remember one time my good friend Andy Dufresne had to crawl through 500 yards of turd pipe, 500 yards of ****-smelling foulness I can't even begin to imagine before he was finally free. Five hundred yards. That's five football fields, a little less than half a mile.

As Kaiz said, there IS light at the end of the tunnel -- it's just that the tunnel might be half a mile long and full of ****. Hang tough.

Remember, kooky, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this post finds you and find you well.
