By using $1 billion in taxpayer money.
Yes, there are competing offers on taxpayers money being used.

This is how the free market functions.

Chicago, Arlington Heights, and Hammond are all competing to get the Bears on an open and free market. If the Bears don’t like it they can move to another city altogether.

Free market is doing its job. No one is forcing Chicago to make an offer. Just no crying if they go somewhere else.

Simple concept.

Not free market when taxpayer money is being used. Of course, you cheering on taxpayer money for a private company shows me exactly what my party has become. Spend $1 billion on a private company used for entertainment rather than for legitimate government uses. Panem et circenses.

Who is crying? Every Chicago poster on this site has said it’s not that big a deal.

Keep trying to manufacture that outrage though.

I guess you don’t understand markets. I’ll move along.

I don’t give a fuсk where the Bears end up. I’m arguing it’s a free market and it unquestionably is. Using government money does not prevent a free market.

There are no bid contracts, cost plus contracts, those are not free market.

But when the government bids things out, which they do all the time, that is a free market using government dollars.

Either you’re obtuse or trolling. Or just plain stupid.

Your orange lover is very familiar with the no bid contract.

What qualifies as a "lavish benefit for aliens?" Lavish is an interesting description of government benefits.
You've never sampled the gourmet version of Government Cheese? The NYT called it a "playful little dining experience"

Hey Chicago Bears Fans, Your blood is about to boil reading this: I just did some research. The state of Illinois has spent over $2.5 BILLION on free benefits for illegals last year. At the same time Illinois Governor
@JBPritzker
was telling the Bears there’s “no money” for tax relief on a new stadium. Let that sink in. For $2.5 billion the state of Illinois could have PAID for a new stadium for the Chicago Bears. Instead, they spent it paying for lavish benefits for aliens, while running a $3 billion deficit and losing a franchise they've had for over 100 years. This is what Democrat priorities look like. They hate you and will destroy your state for power.

Don't believe it until Nick Shirley reports it or cries about not being able to uncover the corruption. It's like Frankie the Weather Guy. Not a fact until then
