Even as a backup, I don't trust this dude's health. Broken hand and two ACL surgeries in his college career is f-n crazy.Cheap backup?
I want three true PGs and a combo guard.Do we have three (3) PGs next year, then ??
A turnover-prone midget from Jackson State??5.3 to 3.8 assist-to-turnover ratio.
They hate Mormons, they are Internet cowards, and not UK fans. Ignore these foolsSome of you should hope for this. If he is so bad then it seals Mark's firing. That is supposedly what you want right?

...this next season is gonna be ugly, isn't it?
No, most if not all of us want the Cats to be elite and super successful again. If that's Mark Popes doing, FANTASTIC. I, like many others, hold the belief Mark Pope can't do that, which is why I want him gone. There's a stark difference there. I don't want the Cats to do bad so Mark Pope will be fired. Defenses in the SWAC are stellar though. And he had to take tough shots and make all the plays. (I'm trying to remember all the garbage excuses as to why Lowe would be a stud)5.3 to 3.8 assist-to-turnover ratio.
He's also playing against B10 teams while the other is playing against SWAC teams. Seriously.Assist%: 45.9%
turnover%: 15.1%
Braden Smith
43%
18.3%
One plays with a team full of Big 10 players. The other plays for Jackson State. The 3pt shooting certainly is a drawback, and Im not saying he's on Braden Smith's level, but he's certainly a talented player. I'd pass though. I'd rather see if someone like Hubbard becomes available,
So...this is my big concern with stuff like this. If he's a backup, and there's a stud in front of him, and he's gonna play 6-10 mins/game...sign me up. But with the way Pope likes to handle rotations, it's concerning. It's also a little concerning that if Pope actually signs a starting PG and that guy goes down, this guy would be the replacement. I know it's hard to sign two starter level guys...it's just a concern. If he’s a backup I could handle it, but we all know Pope wants to play these guys and lineups way more than they should.
If you paid attention to my post history you would see I don't hold on to anyone's jock and have said I do not think Pope will make it. My comment was more for the folks constantly getting on here day after day posting new ways to complain about Pope. It is one thing to believe he will not make it, and it is another to constantly whine and complain. The season will play out and there isn't anything any of can do about it. If he makes it then good if he doesn't lets start doing the groundwork now to find the right replacement but either way the season will play out, and it does no good to act like children every dang day.No, most if not all of us want the Cats to be elite and super successful again. I bi%^& because I care. If that bothers you or any others, I can't change that. I get what you're saying, I really do...and I'd love to have SOMETHING, hell, ANYTHING to be truly happy about. But it's not there right now. The freaking SWAC POTY moves no needles for me. Signing a guy that was an NBA all-star, but by all accounts a horrible coach, does nothing for me.If you paid attention to my post history you would see I don't hold on to anyone's jock and have said I do not think Pope will make it. TBF...It is truly threatening to think about."The season will play out with Pope whether you like it or not!"
Why do people always say it that way? Like a threat?
The comparison with him and Braden Smith is crazy. They are on different planets as far as being quality PG’s.He's also playing against B10 teams while the other is playing against SWAC teams. Seriously.

Not much to disagree with in your reply. I agree to most of it. But I also understand there isn't much I can do at this point but hope he can turn it around.I bi%^& because I care. Sorry about the jock comment, that was an assumption on my part. I'll eat that one. I truly mean what I say though, and I'm pretty certain the vast majority are in my camp on this...I want Pope to succeed, not for Mark Pope, but for the good of the program. There's just not a darned thing in his entire career that would suggest he's capable of that. So far this offseason we've seen moves that have to be explained to us why they COULD be successes. That shouldn't be the case at UK, but it is. And it is because our head coach and the people that hired him are in absolute desperation mode.
Because it is the truth."The season will play out with Pope whether you like it or not!"
Why do people always say it that way? Like a threat?
You choose hope. I choose bi$&?. I understand neither helps the situation. We all cope in different ways, huh? I still buy merch. Still watch every agonizing second of every game. All of it. The bi$&?ing is honestly just a coping mechanism. It works about as well as the bourbon and rye.Not much to disagree with in your reply. I agree to most of it. But I also understand there isn't much I can do at this point but hope he can turn it around.
A truth…and a threat. Unfortunately.Because it is the truth.
