Game plan in my opinion: zone read, triple option, option pass, PA pass, all passes down the field with a few screens and slants. Let's not over complicate things. Get D-Willie in there and run him like Relf his soph year. He's a better passer so when we throw the PA seam route to the RB maybe he won't loft it straight over his head so the RB can actually find the ball.

Tyler is available but just for an emergency. It's D-Willie's game.

A full week of practice will help...

But we must stop the run, put pressure on the QB, create a few turnovers and limit our mistakes on ST to win. I think we have a better football team when healthy but starting a true freshman on the road is asking a lot. Like you said, run basic offense and hope Gabe can open a few holes and maybe our D can get a score. This will be a close game.

Let's not over-complicate things: that means take any play that has "option" in the title out.

But the kid can play. He has a very fluid throwing motion. Not as mobile as Dak but more accurate. Expect good things.

If our DL and front 7 plays like they did against bama and lsu we should be fine. Our D has played well in big games when they needed to and everyone seems to understand the importance of this gm going by what our plyrs are saying on social media. Maybe ARK has quit already or will quit if State can get on them early. I did predict a month ago ARK would beat us. please let me be wrong FOR ONCE.**

4 straight bowls would be so big for our program. We got a little "mo" right now. Lets keep it.

I'm concerned about his touch on the football with the receivers. It can make a difference. Hopefully, they've been practicing a lot. I think maybe we should just run the damn ball and not turn it over...pass if necessary.

That sucks.. I will be pretty surprised if we win this game with a true freshman QB.

It's all up to the D yet again. I think we hold them to 10 or less so if we can pound out two TD's I think we win.

Yeah, going to be tough. Maybe DW will be our cinderella story this year. Leads us to wins over Arky and OM. :) Then again.......maybe not.

Usually comes down to turnovers with freshman QB. Key to this game is DW not turning the ball over.

Dang I must have a lot of internet cred no body questioning me**

I sincerely hope your source is full of crap otherwise we don't have a chance in hell of winning this game with Williams starting. I like the kid but a lightly recruited true freshman on the road in the SEC is not exactly the recipe for success. The defense will practically have to pitch a shutout (which they still have too many lapses to do) and our kickers couldn't hit the broad side of the stadium.

That being said, I intensely hope I am completely wrong.

If the UPigg QB is better than DW, it isn't by much. Don't let the true freshman tag fool ya.

If Russell, a senior qb, is only available in emergency situations, he has been cleared to play. That means he is holding himself out. That means he is voluntarily not playing in the biggest game of the year and one of the last 2 of his career.

Shut up no it doesn't...why would he hold himself out? You and anyone else who says otherwise are idiots if you believe that. He's got two games left in his career. He's not scared to play, so why would he hold himself out? I wasn't told he was available incase of an emergency, it's just the vibe that I got from my source. He may be the 3rd option today, I'm not totally sure. He's definitely not holding himself out tho, that's just dumb to say that.

I think Dak gives us the best chance to win btw. I'm not a huge Russell guy, but I'll definitely defend his toughness.

This is a joke. Right? I'm sure TR enjoys watching the game more than playing. He probably is afraid he's going to messup and have to hear criticism from you.**

You do know that being cleared to play (will not cause greater damage to the injury) and being able to play (being injured) are two different things?

You have to be cleared to play to be able to play in emergency situations. If he is cleared to play and he is the emergency qb, our coach is either a huge moron for not playing him or Russell is holding himself out. This is all hypothetical. He may be in a sling today for all I know. I'm just going off your statement.

No, I don't think he is holding himself out. I think whoever thinks that our 5th year qb is going to be cleared to play in emergency situations but not get the start is a complete idiot though.

I've seen several claim victory regardless of the QB and

I agree if the D plays like they did against Au or bama. If not then Dak or Russell playing is a must. I see Arkansas much the same as Kentucky or Bowling Green. Those games were won by 7 points combined, at home, and with Dak and Russell. If this game fall on Williams I just don't see leaving Little Rock with a W.

No I didn't dumbass. Go back and read. Everything I said was based on the OP's information being correct, which I said the entire time to be very unbelievable. The reason that information is unbelievable is because Russell isn't a ***** and if he can play, he will. He isn't going to sit through half a game and come in if Williams gets injured. That would mean that he could have been playing the entire game.

No, you are an idiot. You can't put anything into context. That statement was based on him being the emergency quarterback and not starting. That was my way of saying " If your information is correct, russell is a *****". He is starting, because he has been cleared and he is not a *****. Are you slow?

Yes because everyone else is wrong and your the only one right. Being an emergency back up is not the same and this has no bearing on his toughness. You are completely wrong in your thinking that he may have been cleared to play and holding himself out and that was why he was only an emergency option. He's starting, with pain, and they are uncertain how much he can go but he's going our there. Props to Tyler.

Jesus Christ son, I never thought he was an emergency option. I thought the information was incorrect.
