It was definitely a close call on the foul on Carmelo, but you gotta put some blame on the Dallas D too. They just quit playing because they thought they were gonna get the foul, but who knows what one more hand in the face would have done. Shame, shame.

I agree.....and IF they were trying to foul, they did a horrible job at executing it. Giving him a small bump and expecting the ref to call that is not very smart. I am not convinced they were trying to foul.

there is no question that the refs affected the outcome of this game. this is awful even for nba ref standards (2nd worst group of officials behind sec bball refs in my opinion). and this is where stern could use some improvement. he doesn't hold his officials accountable and this kind of b.s. happens way more than it should in the nba. mavs still had a heartbeat with a win but i can't see any team winning one game let alone 4 after suffering such a loss like this. can't wait to hear comments from cuban.

that's stupid. wright reached in and then gave up on the play, leaving melo with the wide open look. if wright wanted to make sure the foul was called, he should've grabbed melo - it happens all the time.

The call was close, but the NBA has already said it was a missed call; so it was a foul and they missed it. The ref's always have some sort of impact on the game (whether it be making the right call or the wrong call), but as a professional team you have to be accountable for what you can control and not let one call win or lose the game for you. I have never seen a game where the ref's lost a game for a team, winners find a way to win. It's one thing for a team to feel they didn't get many calls in a game, it is a total different story to say "the refs lost the game for us". That is just a losers excuse for not taking responsibility and saying "We just couldn't get it done"
