I'm going to resort to sixpack updates like I ORIGINALLY started out doing before I saw the post saying we hit back to back homers. The 30 minutes of radio call was nice but the tease that is our baseball team wised me up.
That guy, and this entire SR class, cannot play their last game soon enough. We may lose some power next year, but damn, can we BE any worse on the mound and in the field??
Momentum is not a part of baseball, Polks favorite saying was hitting is contagious, but he was getting scuds hit off of him, 6 straight hits at one point. Look our defense is awful, but the pitching is actually worse as terrible as that is.
hits and errors properly. The ERA stat gets skewed because of scorers who don't know what they're doing. Our pitching absolutely sucks, but the defense makes their stats look way worse than they should be.
this is 2 weeks in a row where he was cruising and then the defense $%$!$# up...then bam - ballgame gets away from him. I attribute that to momentum, specifically momentum caused by our ****** 17'n defense.
it's not "momentum" when you shell him. Seriously, there are only 12 pitchers in the whole league with a worse league ERA than Whitney, and 3 of them are ours.
is just plain awful. He called two clear errors by Vandy fielders this past Saturday as hits. It was pretty obvious that he was eithertrying to help state's hitting stats or just doesn't know what the heck an error is. So I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't call them appropriately when State's in the field as well.
