Y'all may have seen but I did not until last night. The victim is the boyfriend (or ex boyfriend) of Hernandez's girlfriend's sister. Sounds like the guy treated her bad and Hernandez's woman wanted him to be tough guy and deal with it. Sounds like most NFL teams were scared off of Hernandez due to gang relations... This is nuts. At what point does stupidity leave a person?

The afternoon radio guy here in Columbia, SC used to cover the Gators before he moved here. He said yesterday on the radio that he is not surprised at all by any of this. Said there's a reason Hernandez fell to the 4th round and the company he kept at Florida was shady at best.

But hey, it's now for the good of the team. Surely that's something that would be a good appeal and something that Belichick's done successfully with other players (notably Troy Brown).

Pretty sure I read on this board that he's a better person for insisting to play

QB. Shows drive and determination or something. Being a good teammate is less important.

Personally, I'd jump at the chance to play TE for the Pats and maybe slowly learn to be a QB in the background.
