I saw a video on FB earlier of The Groooove and there was a lot of limbs already on the ground.
The real suffering is going to start tonight for all of those without power dealing with the cold.
Sure hope some trees don’t fall over and damage that claptrap of their football stadium.
That’s what makes this so different from 94. It stayed cold for about a day and then started warming up. It’s not going to get above 40 for a lot of the area until next weekend.
Looks the same in North Lee county but our roads are clear. Weirdest thing.
My yard looked way worse than that in 1994. I could not even get down my driveway until I got all the chainsaws cranked up. Took me two days of sawing just to clear the driveway, Then I found out the streets were even worse! I'm only 45 miles from Oxford and this time we had nothing iced up like that. Guess I dodged a bullet huh? We were right on the dividing line of ice storm or sleet, and luckily got the sleet. Amazing what a difference only a few miles make.

We know there are no men with chainsaws there, so they are screwed.
This will help keep the chicken nuggets cold.
1) I don't think that looks as bad as '94, but maybe I was just more impressionable then.
2) People out walking around those trees are taking a risk. I would not be walking around unless I had an urgent need. Lots of heavy tree limbs are going to continue to fall and at least parts of Oxford have power, so they still have risk from downed lines.
Just fine. Oxford is not actually hell it just feels like it when you are there.
