who have barely pitched in SEC play? First Lindgren on Friday, which he got away with. Now Stark on Sunday which cost us the sweep. Got to go with Holder in that situation. He would only need to pitch to one batter, so the fact he pitched the last two days shouldn't matter.

And look what happened. You bring in the guy that as been closing games out lately. That's not Stark

That's how you blow games and eventually blow a season because let's face it,this is a trend. Wetook 14 pitchers. There has to be arms available for 1 out besides a guy who hasn't pitched in ages. Of course, throw Girodo out of the equation and we win by 3 anyway.

you dont throw guys 3 days in a row- especially freshman

And it's not just mound pitches- it's warm-up pitches also

he's got all week to rest. Heck, I can't even remember the last time Stark pitched before today.

I'm pretty sure if you asked Cohen who he would rather have in there- he would say Holder

Holder has not thrown many pitches this weekend. He could come in and throw 8 pitches, come on. You're just trying to defend the move. Look I'm not blaming the game on Cohen bc Holder or Bracewell could have given up that hit too....but you're an idiot and haven't watched Stark pitch if you think he was the right guy in that spot. Stark gets hit hard every time someone makes contact. He's like another this year version of Reed except without the slider.

You only need him to get one out, so he wouldn't throw that many pitches today. We need every win we can get, especially against sorry teams like Alabama. Can't save pitchers fortomorrow to sacrifice the game you're winning today.

with Reed. While that was much more important, this game was pretty damn importatn.

Situations are extremely rare where you can't get 8 pitches out of a guy.

We were in this position b/c we burned Reed early, and b/c of the Girodo mistake.

then we should have just let Routt finish it and lived or died with the result. As I said, I can't even remember the last time Stark pitched in a meaningful situation. That was NOT the right time to try and break a guy back in from injury.

a true Freshman relief pitcher threw 30 pitches + warm-ups yesterday - after getting loose and pitching Friday night- and you think it's just no problem at all to bring him back for a 3rd time

Our fanbase may really be as stupid as others clami it to be

Is your defense of bringing in Stark, and your constant referencing of playstation (which you obviously want us to know you have).

you almost never see a guy throw 3 straight days- especially a true freshman RP

I dont know why we ever pitch Girodo- that is the one baffling move of the day

I'm not saying Stark was the right move- I'm saying Holder wasnt available for use. You dont use a freshman 3 days in a row, especially when he threw 30 pitches + warm-ups the day before- that is moronic

in that situation. Where is Bracewell? If you aren't going Bracewell or Holder in that situation, then you're better off sticking with Routt

You can use a closer several days in a row....and judging by Cohen use of Reed 3 days in a row to save games, I would say he agrees with that. So....either use Holder, or use Bracewell, but don't use a guy like Stark that has gotten ripped time and time again with a few decent short outings sprinkled in occasionally.

and he cannot mathematically face more than 2 guys, you have to win the game.

Drew Pomeranz threw 2 complete games in 4 days in a regional. when you need to win, you can pull of some one time things like this.

like you said, maybe he said he couldn't go , but 8 pitches isn't a lot. Warm ups are irrelevant b/c they are inherent in any pitch count. Everyone warms up.

he would be turning backflips and talking about how dumb we are. Reed or Holder could have pitched to one batter but that is why we pay the coaches. It didn't work today.

references? Haha, that's irony at it's finest.

And I'm betting my level of pitching was higher than your level of coaching....but that may be downgrading myself quite a bit.

Like I said, I wouldn't get in a habit f running a guy out there 3 days in a row, but it happens occasionally with closers, and can be argued that it should have happened today. My main point though, is that Stark was the wrong guy in that spot. Was Bracewell not available? Is Cohen saying Stark is a better option than Bracewell there too? That's just dumb...I don't give a **** what Girodo and a Stark have done during practice, those two have no business pitching in an SEC game, especially a close one. And I don't have to have the word Coach in my username to know I'm right about that.

I just defend Cohen because we have too many idiots around this place.

Cohen has already gone farther in the NCAA Tourney than Stansbury ever did. Any comments made by the Stansbury crowd are just laughable when you realize that.
