You take a bigger risk every morning when you drive to work. And if you're that damn concerned about it, weather.com, noaa.gov or NOAA weather radio are going to give you better information than any TV station ever dreamed of.

and praying that if a Tornado hits, they were on the air on their competition was not. They can warn people with a box in the corner, but it is not about warning, it is about Self Promotion of the weather. Oh, and they actually spent several minutes telling their loyal listeners how to twitter the weather.

you have not ever been involved in a "weather" incident or never had family or friends affected by a severe weather incident. Weather.com, NOAA.gov, or NOAA info is delayed when taken over the internet. WJTV is one of a few with the radar technology really needed to save lives who at the same time can telecast it live to those who may be affected. Your little tv shows do not take a very high priority when it comes to human lives. Odds do not mean a ** thing if it hits you.

Ignore the ceiling cat and get on the interwebs, and you can find most of what you're watching online. Yes, Channel 12 was annoying (no longer have to put up with that thankfully), but I know people that it has meant life and not death to by watching just in time to take the proper cover when a twister meandered differently than projected.

Besides, at the end of the day, it's still just golf.
