and if we had any where close to a decent schedule or two or three less turnovers we would be no worse than 3-3 right now and probably 4-2. He is getting a lot from a little. He knows what he is doing unlike his predecessor. AND he can actually talk.....wow...no arrrr....arrrr....arrrr. AND maybe the most important thing...he doesn't have any of his best friends coaching and will do whatever it takes with this staff to get the one he wants and needs. As a young player, I would love the opportunity to play for the guy.

He still has some learning to do as a coach. But I'm confident that we are going to get better under him.

I think he is a very good coach, and will make us much better...he has thing to learn.

By the way... we are going to need to open up our pocket book...get him a raise, etc. or he will be coaching for someone else.

....the excitement of seeing our team play to its offensive potential has been canceled by its tenancy to give games away in our offensive red zone.

It is still a good time to be a Bulldog. The team has improved a lot and will only improve a lot more each year. But I'm done being excited about what we can accomplish this season. Casually interested. Just not excited.

for confronting that official on the field about the non-holding calls, and pulling on the officials jersey.

I am willing to give him a little room to improve. I like that he was seriously pissed during the post game press conference, would not want to be part of the practice this week. And +1 on giving him a raise to keep him in Starkville.</p>

before we talk about raises. Our O is better this year, but I think Croom would have the same record right now.

Croom might have the same record right now , but the difference would be that Croom had 4 years prior to this one to get us a QB that is better than what We have now. Mullen hasn't had that chance. He is just stuck with Croom's ****** efforts of recruiting.

Couldn't be more right, for once since Jackie left we have the ability to out coach a team, I think we even have the ability to win games when our oppenents have superior talent (we've been on the cusp already) b/c we do have a really intelligent head coach. Mullen is having some head coach growing pains but he'll work them out soon enough, a big test will be to see how he deals with the DC opening at the end of the season.

I couldn't be happier watching UM start to realize the honeymoon with Nutt is over and they are stuck with a coach who is on the downside of his career while we have a coach who is on the upside of his and luckly for us Mullen does not want to stay at MSU. The byproduct of his desire to be a head coach at an elite program will be multiple winning seasons for us.

and anyone can say he made some poor calls but I rather it happen this season and not in the next few years. Everyone is learning out there and Mullen has brought back that word that lingers around with our football for so long... HOPE. I actually can see us improving heavily in the future but we need to escape this season without burning any redshirts and protect Lee so we can save russell. I hope these players dont pack it in for hte season and come to play when florida and bammer roll into town.

I'm simply impressed with the crowd turnout. I cant remember a time these past few years where we would lose one week and still bring a good crowd the next. Mullen has got everyone coming back even with the bad weather. And I can't remember a time where we would lose like this and come back the next week and still play hard. I don't know where they find hte motivation because theres no way I could have been fired up after that LSU loss. Congrats on the progress this season and although the wool is gone this year it will be ready to grow for next year.

but you did notice I wrote that our O was better....not ready to give anybody raises yet and Croom would be 2-4 right now. That's a fact. I think we might have a winning season in the next two years...then we'll talk about raises and losing our coach. I honestly hope our coach does well enough to get interest from other programs.

Not too sure we'd have beat Vandy with Croom coaching.

My main disappointment with this game was Lee. 2 fumbles, two interceptions. No excuses for that piss poor play. I hate that we didn't have Relf or someone to run the ball from the QB spot today.

and I think he is, but I don't want to call someone a good coach until they have had some success.
