Cross asked how Mullen could explain using the term "Championship" for winning a regular season game. His reply: "Well, they give you a trophy if you win, don't they? The team that gets the trophy is the champion and the team that does is the losers." He kinda chuckled at the end of that and you could hear Matt Wyatt laugh in the background.
Danshut him up! Now, Cross is backtracking and trying to talk big now that Dan isn't on the line to school him again.

Mullen has beaten Ole Miss every time he's played them. He's entitled to talk as much **** as humanly possible until we make him shut up, and I've maintained that as long as he's been at State. I don't find it classless or whatever the people on the Spirit say about it. That doesn't change the fact that it's just that- **** talking. However, I don't think awful t shirt slogans are directly comparable to a coach's saying he runs a championship program, when he hasn't won a championship.
