If he beats Boise on 10/18, he has a decent chance to run the table. I’m sure he’d South Alabama something up along the way though
If he gets ole miss in the playoffs will he refer to them as the school down southeast?
To be clear, I’m rooting against that. I’m just thinking of how Mullen was shopping himself out to “name brand” programs for years in search of coaching a championship contender. Turns out his best option may have actually been to drop down a step.

That so many of our people wanted to run Mullen off before he left is why MSU will never have a consistently great program in any sport.
The Gumps wanted to run Saban off a few years ago. Our dumbazzes just don’t have a cute name, but they live amongst us!
UNLV has played a Charmin soft schedule. First two games were Idaho State (which they almost lost) and Sam Houston, which might be the worst team in FBS. Then UCLA, which probably is the worst Power 4 team in the country this year and may go winless, and Miami Ohio, which they needed a 17-point fourth quarter comeback and last second field goal to win. So let's don't put them in the playoffs just yet.
