I said this quite a few times although i did think we were going to play them a little closer we are gonna be fine. But ***'s biggest most daunting task as a coach will ble to get them "prepared" to play a well coached aTm team. I 'll be honest i knew they were a good football team, and i knew we'd get their best punch too, but that is one hell of a football team! A couple of things to go look at while rewatching the game. Tyler was as nervous and keyed up as i have seen him since his freshmen yr. If you look on our first few drives he was so keyed up he forgot to put his mouth piece in (was still stick in his helmet). Watch him Vs. any other team this yr and he has a rhythm after he breaks huddle he calls the blocking coverages reaches up as he gets his feet set grabs it and slides it in his mouth. Lol. Poor guy is what i said as we were washing. #2 Banks is hurt....but playing through it. We were supposed to have what is called "rolling coverage" on that 2nd TD his knee twitched on him as get was coming out of his back pedal and the WR ran the perfect route, good throw too. The TE's TD wasn't his fault (not 100% of his fault anyway) where was the OLB? #3 As others have said it, absolutely terrible ST play.....period! I know some have said it and i have never been for what they've said until now. *** needs to hire a ST coach. #4 Although they weren't out long when both Siddoway & Clausell got dinged up those were critical drives in the game for us. That could've turned the momentum in our favor. Go back & look Robinson had to play both spots while they were out he was God awful! His technique was very sloppy and he was the last linemen off the blocks. I coach OL, the best way to neutralize a far better DL than your OL is "be first". When you can't be first then you have one last option cut block to the thigh (if you can get your hips around) otherwise.....epic fail! But i have confidence in *** that he will have them ready plus there will be added excitement because of the anny of the snowbowl (possible saving grace for getting them excited so don't knock the uni change it will be a tool in this game to get them hyped up) and that should help. People who think we're only going yo win one more game for the rest of the yr need to calm down. The only team that plays good defense from here on in is LSU. Arky & aTm are equally terrible and can expose their secondary like everybody else has with FAR less talent at QB and WR-TE. We'll be fine. UM can NOT stop the run period! LdP will tear their *** up! LSU on the other hand is a different story.
