Knew that was coming months ago. Demetrius Martin is related to him. He was always going there.

The combo of him having family on the staff, their location and the girlfriend was too much to overcome...doesnt sound like Nebraska was ever in the picture

You kill me.

So was Calvin our silent commit and changed his mind like Darnay changed his mind a couple times?

When a kid publically gives his verbal commitment to a school and decommits, commits elsewhere, then decommits, finally to commit once and for all... he gets trash talked by everyone on message boards.

I think Darnay did it right for himself by doing it silently so he didn't have to suffer public scrutiny since he did decommit twice now basically.

Whether the coaches are "scrambling" or not, surely they will fill the class with descent commits. Nebraska has had to hand out new offers in January before and gotten some good players (Ameer) so it can happen again if needed.

The coaches have been recruiting many players and surely have a list at each position and have been in somewhat regular contact with those Plan B, Plan C players, just ready to give them a commit-able offer.

As well organized as this staff's recruiting department has been behind the scenes, they probably have a Plan Z lined up.

I am just disappointed that we couldn't land an out-of-state 5 star player today. Shooting for the stars is a good thing. Sometimes you strike out, but you have more at-bats coming.

Holmes' dad either owns or just runs the ProWay 7-on-7 program. ProWay is sponsored by Adidas, UCLA is an Adidas school. In the end, Holmes picked UCLA with the full blessing of his dad, but not his mom [USC].

Could be something, could be nothing, and it's likely we'll never know.
