Yep. Speculation is that Louis van Gaal, Netherlands National Team coach, will take over permanently.

Saw that. Does that mean he won't be announced until after the World Cup? Man U's season has just been a train wreck from the beginning.

I know. I usually have a couple Man U players on my fantasy team and I think the most I had at one point was one at different times.

I want to think that national team coaches tend to make moves after major events. He could be announced prior to the World Cup as long as he's on the same page with the front office of Man U and the Dutch national body. But then that sounds like a Crxxms move so I don't know...

That's what I would think. There's usually a lot of turnover among national team coaches after the World Cup, and there's really not much for them to do in the next 12-18 months anyway (at least not on the field), so I wouldn't think it would be an issue for Man U to go ahead and announce him.

The combo of old age/injuries in the back line/mid is what did them in. The talent just ain't there this year. I'm not saying Moyes was or was not the right choice, but he was kind of limited in this aspect.

They'll be spending big over the summer, so whoever comes in should have a different situation.

Will the Glazers throw out the cash since there will be no Champions League next year?

The whole Moyes saga has been most enjoyable. While their talent is as old and poor as I can ever remember, Moyes was clearly over his head.

Who could ever replace SAF? I hope they have a long spell of mediocrity.
