Starkville needs somebody to come in and make some common sense calls. "You want to convert an old Wendy's into a title loan joint right on highway twelve a mile from campus? Go 17 yourself."
There are 2 Sonic's and 2 McDonald's on the same road within a couple miles of each other in a town of less than 15,000 residents. There's a Bojangles, Popeye's, KFC, Zaxby's, Chic-fil-a, and now Wingstop in between those McDonald's and Sonic's. It's as if they're trying to make bad decisions.
I mean, I get it, the charm of Starkville is along downtown and the Cotton District, but they can't seem to run that right for **** either.
I need to move back to Starkghanistan and run for city counsel under the slogan "I couldn't make it worse if I tried!"
ETA: I lived in the Cotton District my last year, got rid of my car, and never left the 3 mile radius of my apartment. It was a wonderful oasis, then my girlfriend comes to visit Starkville for the first time and she drives in on that route and I have to explain that turd...
