Losing did nothing to hurt. Winning certainly would have helped but the loss didn’t move the needle any.

We’ll see what happens with NET tomorrow but Q1 road losses (especially a close one like this) just don’t move the needle much at all in most instances.

I would feel differently if it were a home game or if we didn’t already have 7 Q1 wins. But this one just would’ve been gravy. Metrically it’s not a bad loss and it’s foolish for anyone to argue otherwise.

Even if you want to make it about SEC standings, I mean we lost no ground today. Ole Miss lost and Kentucky is about to lose. We are still exactly where we were going into today. It’s more of a missed opportunity than anything punitive.

I feel like people are getting hung up on OU’s conference record. Yeah they’ve had a tough time this year at times. But they’re not chopped liver either. They’ve got 5 Q1 wins and are 8-9 against Q1 and Q2. That choke job against LSU may be what keeps them out of the tournament. But they do have 3 legitimately excellent nonconference wins, all on neutral sites.

Aside from Hubbard, we’re 1-12 from 3. It’s hard to beat anyone while throwing up that many bricks
93 points is definitely unacceptable big time . We scored plenty enough to beat anybody . We get a big win against TexAM and then fall slap dab on our face .
