Gonna be tough. I would call the Hawks big underdogs in 4 of the quarterfinals and just underdogs in 2 more. Tall hill to climb tomorrow morning I'm afraid.

Yeah, by seeds alone, Caliendo is the only favorite. Angelo and Kennedy are coin flips. After that, Bailey and Ayala have winnable matches if they can stay mistake free. Peterson has a puncher’s chance. Kueter would be a huge upset where he will actually have to show more offense than he has combined all season. Yonger is a brutal match for him.
if I had to pick, I would say Caliendo wins and 2 more squeeze it out. I am hoping for 3, which having 4 semifinalist would make for a drastic improvement for the regular season. If not, they are going to have to really go nuts on the backside to ensure a team trophy…

Everyone knew we were favorites to be exactly where we are right now. Those pesky 1/4 matches against higher seeds are what we have all been pointing to. We're favored in 1 match on the front side tomorrow.

Point taken, but it’s still impressive to win all the 8/9, 7/10 and 6/11 matches. Getting 7 to the quarters is awesome. Have to somehow survive the first session tomorrow.

Kharcla has looked pretty dang solid since B10s. I'm not confident PK will win that match. Sinclair is really, really good and Angelo is far from 100%. That will be a upset imo if Angelo can find a way. If you told me Iowa would have 7 on the championship side and the 2 lowest seeds still in the consis going into day 2 with well over 50% bonus wins I would have taken that every single time. Onward.
I kind of get the feeling you are rooting for guys to lose so it validates your opinion about Brands. Iowa went 15-2 on the day while others slipped on major banana peels. Yea, it's going to be a tough session no doubt but damn.

Going 15-2 on Thursday means nothing if we don't get a handful of guys into the semis.
This isn't your first rodeo at nationals, you know this. Why are long-time fans suddenly acting like a good Thursday is a great performance? We're suppose to win these matches.
I know we're not winning this thing but I'm not going to start flexing on being 3rd place on Thursday night.
And others are using today to validate their opinion on Brands. 15-2 is expected on Thursday, it's not a reason to be flexing!
