DR needs to cut the act and run the plays Dana calls.

This - I think the UCLA game was a great example of how it should work.

It drives me nuts that we try to pin a 19 year old kid to go head to head with a Dcoordinator who has been doing this his whole life. It’s a chess match and plays set them up for later nuances. If DR is checking out of 60-70% of the plays it’s a losing battle and we give up a huge advantage that Dana “should” be giving us.

Barbara showed he could actually be a decent guy when he came back from getting chased out of here a few weeks ago. Then he just jumps back on his high horse and starts babbling again.

The sooner he realizes that having a big home and pool don't mean sh*t to some people who could have that if that's what it takes to feel important. I'm one of those types.

Do you really see a great coach like TO, or Saban or Meyer letting ANY QB check out of plays all the time, when they don't work? Only a .weak 500 career coach allows that kinda crap that hurts the team.

The less autonomy TJ had and the more he ran the play Dana called, the smoother the offense operated, albeit we were facing a weak defense. Getting the ball in and out of his hands quick was the key.

A subpar OL having to pass block for 2 seconds v. 4 seconds led to many less breakdowns, less physical stress during the game, and the ability to maintain that mental/physical edge.

How that works against PSU or IA remains to be seen, but it can't hurt. In the short week before IA, the Hawkeyes will learn an awful lot this Saturday night in how they prepare. Gonna be a tough one.

The thing that is Intriguing about the UCLA game was that UCLA was a group capable of putting up offensive numbers on some teams, and winning games they didn't have any business winning and when they got trounced the came crashing back to earth.

What I loved about what Nebraska did to UCLA was beat them down early, but hatted it when they took their foot off the gas. TJ Lateef is capable of so much more but I worry that maybe he is being held back a bit because he's not fully trusted by Rhule.

I believe Holgorsen want's to let TJ do his thing but Matt seems to ease up some what when he should let the TJ and offense apply the heat. Yes, TJ and the offense will make some mistakes but so did Dylan, he made a lot of those.

Right now I think we're just happy to be winning, but in the future, if NU ever wants to make some national noise, you gotta start blowing people out. It's the nature of the beast when they're only taking 12 and then 16 teams out of 135.

I'm sure that's true, people should live in homes they can afford and allows their family to do what pleases them. Not everyone wants a big home with a pool. I know I don't. To each his own, but he likes to act as though everyone drools about his home. Not everyone shares the same dream.

I think for most people, it can't just be a convenience, it tends to define their lifestyle, and that's awesome if that's what makes them happy.

I had an inground pool at my house in the late nineties. I did all the maintenance myself which I enjoyed doing as it didn't take too much of my time. My wife and I talked about putting in a pool at our current home but decided against it. We have too many options already with the pool at the club and more importantly isolated sandy beaches along the Columbia River where I like to take a kayak and our dogs to play in the water. All our water is cold and clear.

Rhule is a stubborn SOB. He has always coached to win the game and protect the defense. like in the NFL, which is one reason his offensive numbers have been so terrible but his defenses at least average, while his record is mediocre. And it explains why he can never beat a good team. When the other team is better, playing field position, playing to punt, and having a vanilla offense just doesn't work. This might be why Rhule isn't going to have a 3 win season at Nebraska but also why we won't win 10.

That’s why nowadays they call two plays in the huddle. If you see a 2-deep zone, you check out of the pass, vice versa if it’s a one-deep. Etc.
