Near meltdown but huge win and the better team won. It would have been a crushing loss.

With this young bunch every win is big. Although Dayton had some injuries, they still are a mid major power who annually is in the big dance. That was a SOLID win!

First of all...Ed Morrow in complete beast mode tonight. Dayton had no answer for him.

But c'mon, NU has got to finish better than that. You have a 6 point lead with 40 seconds left, then trail 25 seconds later? Complete panic and disarray in the final minute.

Hopefully Dayton is able to overcome the injuries they've had and this ends up as a nice, resume-builder for NU.

Again...this is Morrow being who he is. This is his game. Miles just finally figured it out. He is running and put-backs

Whew!!! Just got back from cleaning out my pants. I thought we were going to lead the whole damn game and blow it at the end.

We could have, but... 4-0. I realize that we are not a blueblood. Just like this year in football, I will savor the victories and not nitpick on how we did it. Although I almost had a heart attack that last minute. :p

Much easier to learn from a meltdown that still got a win than blowing it. What a huge drive and FTs by the young Watson to bail us out.

So, what's the consensus at this point, are we better off with or without White?

Jack needs to throw his away.
Clearly huskerbaseball13's wasn't the only butt puckered up tonight. NU tried to give it away. Tai and Jack made some rookie mistakes down the stretch. How do you let yourself get trapped on the baseline under the basket off an inbounds? Not sure if that was Gill or who it was. We really played tight that last 6 minutes and quit moving on offense. Our youth definitely showed tonight.

meh....probably without but it's hard to say another scorer wouldn't help. Long term it's giving minutes to youngsters that will help down the road IMO.

My first thought was "OH NOES!", but now I'm thinking that we will see our young team develop a lot faster without a ball hog disrupting the flow. Look at Morrow!

Morrow is a stud and these games will become more regular for him. If we can keep getting this performance from him and Watson, this team could be special. I think they will exceed the preseason B1G expectations.

UCLA not all that impressive in the first half of their game. They've been putting up a lot of points against a putrid early-season schedule, but Portland hanging fairly close so far.

Maybe part of the problem was that we relied too heavily on both White and Shields. Pretty cool we get to play against UCLA and have a chance at winning.

By the way I loved Shields and his go get it attitude.

I loved Shields as well. Great teammate. He is missed.
