Two matchups. Two upsets. Mike Slive comes through with a big victory, ousting Fishwater 146-42 on the vote tallies. Slive's 146 votes and 104-vote margin of victory are both new DDDY records.

Today's matchup is the one we've all been waiting for. This one might actually be close. The battle of douchebag parents. (Commissioner's Note: Sorry for the lack of links - busy at work and there wasn't much to work with. Post support in this thread, and any help with tomorrow's Pat Forde - Clay Travis matchup would be greatly appreciated.)

Cecil Newton is Cam Newton's alleged father. His "rented mule" comment will go down in SPS lore and will surely make an appearance at the MSU-Auburn game in September. What do you call "whoring out your son?" But this isn't the first time Cecil went crazy. When his son stole a laptop while at Florida, he went bat **** over the process. Cecil is the epitome of the parent living through their child. Also, Cecil Newton is a piece of ****.

Jet Butler's dad is simply a douchebag parent who thinks SEC baseball is the local Little League. To his defense, he is watching MSU most of the time, but that is still no reason to act like he has this season. Making comments like "I am going to expose John Cohen." and "If a recruit calls me, I will make sure they know not to play for John Cohen." Tone the ego down, buddy.

Here is my logic behind my selection Cecil:

To me, football will always be king over baseball, even at MSU, thus to me it is more important. Cam had every reason to come here. Hell, during the egg bowl he stood up the whole time and rang a cowbell, even on national tv. Through the whole recruitment, it was between us and whoever thought they needed a qb. Names came and went. Eventually, it was down to us and OU. Then Auburn came out of nowhere, and Cam committed to them. Then Cecil came out with the whole rented mule comments and such. Then Auburn went on to have a top 5 class behind the strength of Newton.

Jet Butler's dad I don't think is going to make 2 ***** of a difference on our recruiting in baseball.

Slive has a ticket to the Finals. How the hell did DiamondReb beat c34?

I think Newton comes out of the other bracket, but the Forde-Travis vote will be interesting. Forde will take it on name recognition, I think, but Travis is a grade-A douche.

on opposite sides of the bracket. Honestly, Cecil should probably be in a differenttournament all together. Jet Sr. is a true non-***** douche. Cecil is a true ***** *******. I am leaning Cecil, but I might not vote in this one as it is cloudy to me exactly what label Cecil should carry.

And Cecil steering his kid to Auburn will hurt our football program a lot worse than Jet Butler's dad could ever hurt our baseball program.

Jet's dad's actions would be about like Jimmy Johns' dad bitching about Saban to bama recruits.

Newton was in control the entire time, he was trying to get paid. He knew what he was doing and he is a major *** for it. Butler on the other hand, he thinks he is doing something, but in the end nobody really cares about the father of a son who can't field a ground ball at age 22. That is why Butler's dad is the bigger douche. Cecil Newton is more of a prick to me, not a douche.

Cause I don't think Cecil is all thatdouchee. He whored his son out for his own personal gain, at least superficially carying more about how much money he made than whether his son got to go to the school he wanted to go to. That sucks, but I just don't view it as douchey.

Thinking your18 year old son needs protection from a couple of f-bombs, andnot understanding the difference b/w SEC baseball andlittle league, talking publicly thinking somebody will give a **** about who you are or what yousay, that seems douchee.

hell, he has a top flight QB for a son that is being sought by schools that get paid millions by the networks to show the games his son will play in- nothing wrong with getting a little slice of the pie.

Butler's Dad is simply sour grapes and blaming Cohen for his son's deficiencies...if Jet's *** could play, he'd be on the field. Yet Daddy Butler wants to hurt our program for years to come because Jet cant cut it

Butler's Dad all day for me

Two helicopter parents enter, one leaves!

In an ideal world, the loser should have to umpire little league games in Slidell (isn't that where the little leauge parent did the ultimate in drunken coonassery and pulled a gun on somebody?)

and some random Dadcalled me, or sought me during a recruting trip, to bash the coach, I would think he was some kind of lunatic.Andif I looked up his son's playing history, I would think he was a bitter lunatic.

That's the reason I voted for Butler's dad. Don't blame the coach for ranting, screaming, and cussing if you're son can't field a ground ball. This major college baseball. If you can't do the simple stuff then you need to ride the pine. It's time to pop your tit out of your son's mouth and let him learn about responsibility and consequences.

Like I said in an earlier thread, if all I had to do was shag a few balls, get cussed at by the coach for not hustling, then go bang a random co-ed afterwards.......I'd tell my dad to shut the 17 up. I wonder if Jet's dad will meddle with Jet's employer when he has to get a job.

Hell all Cam's dad did was take the money and run. What's douchey about that? Butler's dad, however, is being a major douche.

For Cecil - it was the unecessary comments about MSU at the end of it all that makes him a douche. He could have just said "we felt AU was a better situation" but he went on the badmouth a program his son almost committed to for no reason.

Jet's dad and his comments would normally make him a winner in my book - but given the high number of negative comments on Cohen from supposed players and people "close to the program" it's entirely possible that Cohen is a bigger douche (we'll find out for sure next year).

So my vote goes to the guy who goes out of hiw way to be a douch for no reason versus an overreacting parent who feels his kid is being wronged (not that it fully excuses any of it)

Or is he just generally bitching? I know you guys have been bitching about both he and his son pretty much all season, but I was wanting to know if there was a first hand account of something specific he did.
