Showed some real signs but was inconsistent. He probably would have benefitted from being a little more selfish with the ball and a little more willing to break scheme. He was definitely a contributor to the resuscitation of the RU basketball program. I will be forever grateful for that.

Keep in mind being in the portal doesn’t mean one actual is transferring. Like declaring for the NBA draft it can be used to gauge interest.
True - happened with about 5% of guys who entered the portal last year - Big guy Josh O from Iowa last year for example- who is not back in the portal again
Also - the school you're at when you enter the portal doesn't have to take you back

Thank you, Dean. Wishing you all the best!

Though the dawn may be coming soon
There still may be some time
Fly away to the bright side of the moon
Let's meet on the other side

Ooh, Dean Reiber
I believe you can get through the night
Ooh, Dean Reiber
I believe you can reach the morning light

Best of luck to Dean. He gave us what he could. I will always root for him going forward.

Too bad that his RU highlight reel includes the Toto Africa rendition from the bench.

I’ll bet that he gets some nice mid major offers.

What if what Pike was saying and other posters believed is closer to what he can be? What if he was a 4 1/2 at a school that doesn't mandate you play D? Can you imagine him playing 15-20 MPG in a Iowa uniform

Did you hijack Bac's account while he was doing Skull Crushers with 45 pound dumbells?

I would be happy to have him back if he was #13, serving as the 3rd string 5. Anything other than that, I’d hope we found someone else. I could see him crushing it in the NEC. Wishing him well.
It is definitely possible Pike told Dean we want you back, but you will need to earn playing time. We fully support you going to the transfer portal to see if there are better options for you. If there aren't any that interest you we would love you to stay.

Like all others, I wish Dean the best. Lot of leagues out there where he could get minutes and grow his game: I think he could get good minutes at most A10 schools, or may a step below that at Patriot or Colonial school.

The kid sang along to a song, let it go. I saw kids dancing and singing during the tournament, nobody seemed to mind, but I wasn't watching at a nursing home.

This was expected, Pike basically ran him off with 5 DNP's to end the season. He probably could have helped with height against Hofstra but alas we choked. Likely go somewhere and end up in the dance, we've seen this before. The portal better be good to us.

That’s the thing. There have been some real DB posts in this thread, better hope the portal gods deliver. Last year posters wanted to run Mag off too.
