Do I take whatever benefits Ole Miss is offering me and play on a rebuilding team, or do I go to a team I've liked since the beginning that is winning and has an open spot right now for me to play right now.
This whole thing is dumb, because no matter what Ole Miss people say, they know this is what's happening. After the recruiting visit he had and the awful way he was treated, why in the world would he want to go there? If the same thing happened at our school, I would be ashamed of our fan base, and not expect that guy to commit to our school. Now all of a sudden he is 50/50 or whatever, and he may commit to the very school whose fanbase mistreated him? Yeah, that doesn't sound fishy at all.
You are wanted at MSU by every single person at MSU CJ. You have a spot sitting here waiting for you. We are about to put 2 LB's in the NFL draft. The future of football in MS is in Starkville.
Of course that is what's happening.....good to know you think CJ is the kind of kid that would take illegal benefits. Im sure that is what happened with Moncrief, Golson, Morris, Hamilton, etc. But of course, that isn't what happened with Arrington and Maiden.
It's stupid stuff like you just posted that opposing coaches use against you. Not you specifically, but fan's in general You are obviously one that feels message board fodder matters, or you wouldn't have posted your last paragraph. Do you understand how good D1 football coaches are of taking something like that, and spinning it in their favor?
Last, the fact that you think every person at MSU wants CJ, and every person @ Ole Miss, LSU, etc. don't want CJ is stupid. Of course we all want him....hence the recruiting battle. He is a great player, great kid, and is going to represent the University he decides to attend very well. He is one that no matter which school he chooses, most fan's will still wish the best for him, because he has handled himself very professionally throughout the entire process.
Again, and I mean this with all sincerity, fan's should consider the things they post about these kids. Something that seems so trivial to you, such as stating CJ is considering taking illegal benefits from Ole Miss, could be the one small piece that turns a 50/50 decision into a 55/45 in your rivals favor.
