Update- got letters from both Mark Keenum AND Dan Coleman. Behold the power of..

..the Pack. I'm very pleased with them. I DO think the MSU folks think that, because the MSMS kids have average IQ's of 250 they'd love sitting in one some major forums. They have to remember that, while they're all smarter than owl ****, they're STILL teenagers and like to have fun.

I'm glad you were trying hard. My daughter still doesn't know where she wants to go to school. It's just that the first impression she got of State (outside of the times I've taken her) is a negative one, while her first impression of Ole Miss is a positive one. The last thing I want is my daughter to become some Hotty Toddy, coke-addled, chain-smoking, bulimic Ole Miss Sorostitute.

I am currently a high school student and have yet to take an official tour of State but I have been very impressed with their recruitment so far. I have gone up for a few football games this year and everyone I talked to was very friendly especially Jimmy Abraham. The thing that impressed me most though was that they were the only school to send me a birthday card. That kind of personal touch is really nice especially since no one else bothered to care about my birthday.

My son's a freshman at Georgia Tech and received letters/packets from every school in the SEC and ACC on a regular basis as well as 4-5 Ivy League schools, UCLA, USC etc and we received a single letter from MSU. My brother, father and I all alums with my Dad having taught there for 30+ years. Sorry to say they do not recruit alums kids who are good students with much zeal

Good Luck to you young man. Mississippi State is an excellent school and you will get the education you want if you attend there. Jimmy Abraham is a friend and model MSU employee.
