"Six Pack Speak used to be a cool message board, but now it's full of Genespage homers" post from one of our visitors. They love this board when it's trashing everything State, but when we start bagging on Ole Miss the whining starts.
What they also fail to show you is that Oher was really a 5'-6, 150 lb white kid when the Tuohys adopted him.
And I reserve the right to hate Cohen in perpetuity.
I also have a deep and abiding love for mint juleps, pastel polos, trial lawyers, the Square, large SUV's with out of state plates and simultaneous WSP and Bush/Cheney stickers, basketball arenas without adequate air conditioning or seats big enough for adults, fine china at tailgates, entrenched irrational snobbery, tweed jackets at football games where there's a **** hair's chance of the temperature falling below 70 degrees, fake tits squeezed together that beautifully and gloriously poke out of sun-dresses, and watching other teams dog pile @ Swayze after Super Regional baseball games.

For the most part (though I don't agree with it) I probably won't say anything on these types of deals because I've grown up with guys my entire life (one thing you missed) and I know that's how they talk so I can ignore it pretty well. But yes, again, if I actually know the person, I'm not just going to let them get called a ***** because somebody somehow found a picture of them through Facebook or something and posted it on a message board for some other random men just to make comments about them. Slightly creepy, at the very least, and dangerous at worst.

I'm not having a panic attack over this or anything. I'm just kind of saying this "matter-of-factly". When a guy says something with authority, he's just being a guy. When a girl does the same, she's a *****. I know the rules. I still posted.
Ritard..... from The Hangover. If you haven't seen it, sucks for you. Take my advice and just buy it when it comes out. I know what nm means, just didn't feel like typing his subject line in there- sue me, I'm lazy. And I get tired of people saying, "learn the rules, quote the person", etc., etc.
If standing up for a friend being called a ***** by random people on a message board who shouldn't even have her picture anyway makes me a *****, I'm fine with that. Most that know me would say otherwise... but then again, this is a message board where we make assumptions about people, especially "newbies" (though I've read for a few years). I won't cry myself to sleep tonight over it.
Personally I think it's creepy as hell to have your picture posted on a message board without your consent so anonymous men can judge and make comments on you- that's a really good way to pick up a stalker, trust me. There are a lot more stalkers than you would think.

I agree with you. I'm not real crazy about calling random girls sluts for no reason either, but you're just making it a lot worse by protesting. You're fighting a fight you can't win. And, for what it's worth, I don't think anybody was literally saying that she's a slut. Just that she's hot.

Wasn't trying to make a big deal of it, but I figured it would probably get to all of this.
I'm actually NOT a *****, actually do love sports, and actually can have intelligent conversations about them (not your typical girl that just says so to impress guys)- I don't care to list all of my "credentials" in proving that (and before anyone else says it, no it doesn't mean I slept with all of the athletes/coaches either to earn those). I'm not worried about impressing anyone (obviously)- If I'd wanted to do that, I wouldn't have even mentioned that I was female, because you automatically lose respect with guys once you mention that little tidbit. You can think what you want, I don't care. I will stand up for a friend, just like most guys would for their friend. Especially one that really doesn't deserve that.
