Totally agree with Deep Creek being above Lake Taylor.

I'd say my list would be:
OS
BS
Landstown
OL
Indian River
Deep Creek
Salem
KF
Namsmend River
Norcom

This also serves as my 757 list including the BRD and Penninsula. My HM would be Hampton, Norview, Lafayette, & Smithfield and Phebous

Polls are great Deep Creek is having a great year and so is King Fork and others
The new classifications will have one champion in each region, So the only things that matter are the 12 or 13 teams in your region and of course if you are the champion the region you match up with champion

I think 6a is strong in the 757. OS, OL, Landstown, Tallwood, Cox etc is shaping up to look interesting this post season

5a is kind of weak outside of 1-2 teams. (Salem, Indian River ). Maybe Norview and Hampton can get on a roll and make it more interesting

4a has some good ball clubs with KF, DP, an improving LT, Smithfield, Lafayette

The surprise to me is Norcom who I think will beat Phebous this year in 3a. Can the 757 3a beat Goochland, Lord Bortetort and Stanton River? We may find out but there is a lot of season left to be played in the meantime.

Those are good questions, and only time will tell. All teams are settling in and are figuring out what players and what plays and what Defense will work for them. Get in the playoffs and you have a chance.

If Norcom and Phoebus meet it will be a big defensive battle. I would give the slight edge to Norcom due their Passing game.

On maxpreps Deep Creek is 3-0 - what was the other win? I noticed the the three wins on Maxpreps , the opposition is a combined 1-8.

Not sue what you are getting at... are you saying LT is better than Deep Creek?

I would like to know what that fourth win is as I cannot find it on Maxpreps. Better than LT? Don't know but I would not be so high yet on a team at this point whose opponents are 1-8. That may be the reason no one is talking a lot about them. Now they play this season some top ones in KF, OS, etc. so they may well be a top team in section A.

Good point, I think they are 3-0. The enthusiasm for Deep Creek seems to be coming from the following.

Last year's team took Lake Taylor to OT in the playoffs & their JV team did the same with Oscar Smith. Their Varsity team was leading Smith at half time despite getting blown out in the 2nd.

Their new head coach, Twine, has had some very good success locally as an assistant, I think at Smith, then @ DC Middle, DC JV & now their Varsity team.

The way they handled Western Branch, they had the game out of reach early! WB beat Kings Fork the previous week.

Deep Creek looks to be a Challenger for that second spot in the Southeastern District. Big games against, I. River, Kings Fork, and Smith. They should flip their record vs 2016 to at least 7-3 & 9-1 IS possible.

Deep Creek played hard, however, Last year LT game was won in regulation
