I think Colorado has seen the best it can be with him in control. It goes downhill from here.
I know I'll make the list for posting about not caring about about a topic, but I really don't get why people find Deion so fascinating as a coach.

The art of "it's about the kids, it's not all about the money", when in fact, it is all about the money. The buyout vacation lifestyle is in the contract. Why not get paid the same and not show up for work? How much does a coach under contract REALLY care when it comes down to it.... money is already in the bank.

He went 7-2 in the easiest P4 conference with a Heisman Trophy winner. He had 43 transfers where 70% of them came from another P4 school. That's probably the best they will get out of him.

I will go with 6 glorious wins for Colorado and a 7th for their win in the Liberty Bowl. A great monumental season for the Buffs. They have moved from the last place Big 16 to the middle, which is the highest they could hope for.
Its pretty simple really. He's a polarizing guy and therefore draws the media attention that further engrains people into their camps. 1/2 of the people watch him hoping he succeeds and 1/2 watch hoping he fails. But they all watch.....
at this point, its probably 70/30 hoping he fails but the point remains...

You don't hear CU fans freaking out like Auburn fans have this offseason because most CU fans are really just Deion fans who have only followed college football for 2 seasons.

Along these lines... a on brand Leach story was he made a big to do about having a kicker tryout in the media. Then didn't even show up for it. As the players and assistant coach had to deal with hundreds of kids, with absolutely no chance of playing d1 football, showed up to try out.
Say what you want about his personality but thereās no denying that heās been successful in terms of results. And not just in increasing publicity.

What will he do without a Heisman two way player this season? What you see is quick progress from basement to a ceiling of mid-tier results. Won the SWAC, lost the Celebration Bowl against NC Central.
At Colorado the mighty wins were against unranked teams of ND State, CO State, Baylor, UCF, Arizona, Cincinnati, TX Tech, Utah and OK State. Lost every game against every mid ranked team and a few mid unranked teams: Nebraska, Kansas, K State. Loss in the bowl game against BYU.
You can spin the hype either way on the success and failure.
The upcoming season features up to 7 sure losses. But it is true that it better than 1 and 11, so that is success. Will need to measure the end of season comprehensive cost/benefit analysis. Enrolllment was up 3.4% for a total of 1,275 new students last year. What is the cost per new student when you factor in NIL, coaches salaries, ticket gate income, etc.
Completely agree, and i actually am pulling for him, but heās also doing the sort of things thatāll result in a short leash if things go south

He may eventually crash and burnā¦. I wouldnāt make a bet on him continuing to be successfulā¦. But this type has been posted since he became the coach at JSU and he continues to win. That may stop without a generational talent like Hunter. The results thus far certainly donāt match the doom and gloom that some has constantly predicted.

Iāve been to the Denver area a couple of times during the summer. Why would you leave Colorado during the months of June, July, and August? Almost perfect summer weather. The days are long and the evenings get into the 60s. I would be hiking or biking every day before or after work.
The other months in Coloradoā¦not so much. I got caught up in a blizzard in Colorado Springs in April and spent an icy week in downtown Denver one time in February.
