We had about $10,000 worth of new equipment come up missing recently. It is suspected to be an inside deal.
In my management glory, I walked down the hall and commented to someone that "We just had $10,000 of equipment stolen and we have $50k worth of crap sitting in the hallway waiting to be taken." I took a laptop out of the hallway into someone's office and said to look how easy it was.
A couple hours later, the secretary in charge of making sure that stuff is secured came into my office and screamed at me. Said she was the only one that ever did any work and that I was not in charge of her so I could just go to hell, or something.
