With the likely firing of Rich Rod, and the hiring of Harbaugh at Michigan there has been speculation about a possible transfer by Denard Robinson. He definitely left the door open with his no comment response after being questioned about it. What are the chances Robinson would transfer here? Think about it. He just got a front row seat to watch the offense Mullen has created here, Mississippi is a hell of a lot closer to Florida (his home state)than Michigan,Mullen recruited the kid while he was at UF (Robinson said he basically commited to him), and the possibility of him winning the job after a one year sit out are very likely. Not saying it will happen, but it sure does make sense for Robinson in my opinion. I cant imagine the offense we would have with Robinson at QB, Brassell, Singleton, Bumphis, Carr, Sanders, Morrow, and others at receiver, and the stable of running backs we seem to have developing. One can only wish.

If he's considering a transfer based on coaching changes, it would be a good mutual fit. The offense fits him and he likes Mullen. Relf would finish out his career while Denard sits. Denard plays his junior/senior years (I'm assuming he is a sophomore and never redshirted). Prescott takes over as a redshirted sophomore or junior. Sorry, Tyler.

But even if he did, I think I would rather have a QB the size of Relf than a QB the size of Denard if I'm playing in the SEC. I like having a big, mobile QB that can pound the middle, especially when we run the QB read and the only hole is up the middle. Robinson would get broken in half in the SEC, and I'm not sure I would want that.
Relf has taken a lot of hard hits this year that I don't think Robinson could have handled. I will take a guy like Relf or Dak Prescott that are taller and a little less mobile but can still runinstead ofaguy like Denard Robinson all day.

I know Mullen recruited him but not sure if he is from FL. If so, probably to one of the many schools down there.

basically just told me that the rumor up North is that MSU is one of two places they hear he may transfer.....Oregon being the other.
Sure you'd rather have a Terrell Pryor, Cam Newton, Chris Relf sized QB to run the spread option, but I think you'd take more of a Pat White if he has Denard type skills.
Denard is a little bit like a bigger Dexter McCluster that can throw the football. I don't think I'd run the Tebow smash play as much if you had him, but he'd definitely kill it in Mullen's offense.
