Fiscal conservatism is one of my core political principles and that was one of my big gripes with Trump. He spent too much.

I agree spending needs to be cut . I believe $2.3 Trillion was spent because of covid... " coronavirus relief package,"During Trumps term.

Let’s rewrite that last sentence: in 2020 the US government spent $4.5 million studying new ways to treat alcoholism and post-traumatic stress syndrome, 2 conditions that are common amongst America’s veterans.
They are 100% going to use “fiscal conservatism” as an excuse to cut programs and departments and research which is actually important to public health, safety, and American innovation.

There is a **** ton of waste that needs to be cut, but I do have concerns over the judgement that will be used on what to cut.
If their term is the same as his first cabinet from round 1 they’ll be gone by 4th of July.

Elon has said he'd rather there be no subsidies (presumably, it helps turn producers of inferior products into competitors). Of course, it is certainly reasonable to question his sincerity that point.
