They came to wrestle today!!!! I have no complaints at any weight... Feel like everyone left it all out there for the most part... Could Ash and Sur. have scored more? Yes.. But at that point you take what's there and don't force the issue... Grello…. Next year is the year when he realizes that not only can he wrestle with the best... But that he can beat top guys!! JVB... hehehe... kudos for Va.Tech for doing their homework... NOT!!! YOU DONT GO UNDERNEATH AGAINST A BACKPACK!!!! Thank you!!! Gravina gave himself a shot... Just couldn't steal that one.... Lipari is not going to be an easy out... Hopefully we can come out with that same intensity that we showed this round!!! GO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Funny, when he chose down on JVB I looked back and said the same exact thing! Dominant ride picking up the major to boot. Has some guy from Penn State he beat last year so I like our chances there.... :sunglasses:. Seriously though, he has experience coming back strong in wrestle backs so hoping for one last good run.
Gravino was so close. Hard to swallow that loss, but need to come back strong.
That's gonna be every Gravina match here... He knows how he has to wrestle to give himself a chance.... Really hope he can get on a run like in B1G's!!

Everyone gave a solid effort. Lipari won the pigtail and gave the defending NCAA champ all he could handle losing 9-5. Was in on several shots and reversals. Great effort. Suriano and Ash both majored. JVB was tough and gets Nolf. Grello lost to #4 Amine in a close bout. Gravina almost had the reversal to beat Wilke.
Suriano gets Korbin Meyers of VT 19-8 who he beat at Cliff Keen7-3 I think. Ashnault gets Jeffries of Oklahoma who we wrestled last year.

Well said. Exactly regarding Ash & Suriano. It’s also a marathon, not a sprint. Get the win/major and advance. Points are important, I get it, but so is staying healthy and fresh.

I'm from New Providence...in 2001, we had a wrestler at George Mason Donnie Defillipis, who was #5 ranked and in Qtr finals.. was up big and wouldn't concede a late TD... Instead, he wrecked hs knee... Instead of becoming an AA.. He never placed....
I thought Gravina ad it also... Main reason I hate refs who made the call being the ones in charge of reversing it....(doesn't happen that way in Football!!!)
