I'd take Gavin Ware and Fred Thomas before I'd take Pollard. Both of them are from Mississippi too so how did Pollard get rated the best last year? Don't get me wrong he's a decent player but no way he should get drafted 1st round. Hood is much better than Pollard.

Agreed. I watched fair amount of the Bama/Mizzou game, and has a long, long, long way to go before opposing coaches are scared of him. From what I saw, he can't shoot or dribble. And he is a tweener. He isn't as good as Roq Johnson.

Pollard better make huge strides in a hurry if Grant wants to stick around t-town. Grant put ALL of his eggs in the D. Pollard basket and the risk has not been offset by the reward so far. Grant has missed badly on several other guys. The lack of any post presence is really hurting them. Also, he's shown essentially no ability to develop players. At this point, you have to call his hiring a bust.

He's very tentative, maybe it's the transition to D1 ball.. It takes some guys a year to adjust...
Time will tell.

I also saw Q Ross riding the pine for OSU last night..

He's a non-conference/non-big game player. He gets about 20 minutes a night when the play someone crappy or blow someone out, but when they play real teams..

Duke -11 minutes
Kansas -9
Illinois - 15
Purdue - 9

Every game he's played 20+ minutes in have been blowout wins. Doesn't look like Thad trusts him very much.
