Dickinson-He wants to win big and also get paid. He is very close with Howard but Michigan looks bad on paper but for the return of Reed. If they upgrade from the portal,he stays per a Michigan assistant. If not, the destinations in no order are Kentucky, Georgetown,Nova,Kansas and Maryland.

Edey-He is staying at Purdue.

Rutgers is not playing in the Charleston holiday tourney.

He wants to win big but one of his possible destinations is Georgetown? Huh? I know they hired a good coach, but there’s no way winning at GT in year 1 (for basically a one and done transfer) is more of a sure thing than winning at Michigan.

I get the impression that GTown is a hometown deal with him, but if they have enough well-heeled alumni to go all in on NIL with the new coach, who knows?

It's possible Cooley can turn around Georgetown quickly by effectively recruiting the portal in one of college basketball's hottest leagues, and Nike is funneling loads of money into that program.

More coaches and assistants "spilling the beans" for message board gossip ???

If he wants to win big there is only one destination on that list to choose from

Unless he was transferring, Edey was never going anywhere. He’s not a NBA pick.

I don't know the man at all, and have no idea what his motivations are. But based on many, many comments he's made over the past few years (they get a lot of play on the Maryland board because that's who they are about), I think "winning big" is not his highest priority. My guess is that playing at home in front of his own people is something he wishes he had done initially, and is still important to him. Given that his hometown of Alexandria, VA, is just a few miles from Georgetown, I could definitely see him going there.

As I said first, though, I don't know squat...

Doesn't Georgetown have one of the best Law schools in the country? I don't think they will have any trouble getting players with a coach they can get behind. Huge Knicks and Ewing fan back in the day but Ewing wasn't a good head coach when they had the talent and then couldn't keep that talent on the roster.

So the plan is to attract top bball talent to Georgetown by touting their law school?

It doesn't get more irrelevant than that

The NBA game has changed. He doesn't stretch the floor with 3 point shooting, he's not dominant enough as a low post scorer to punish small ball lineups, and he's not a great rim protector. The prototypes at the center position in the NBA are guys like Embiid, Jokic, and Lopez. Edey hasn't shown he's anywhere close to that level.

would think Dickinson might want to play with Justin Moore, his old high school teammate/buddy, who is returning to Nova.

There is still a place for guys like Edey in the NBA. For every Embiid there is a Tyler Zeller or Mason Plumlee. There are just not enough highly skilled athletic big men to go around, and teams need to fill their rosters with guys who are tall but limited or smaller but more skilled. Edey would probably be a second round pick if he went in, and will likely play a long time but with limited impact and minutes. I would think it would be better for him to enter the draft to start that process, but he can clearly make more money playing one more year in college. Same goes for Dickinson.
