Did ABC know that MLB had moved Game 6 of Cubs-Mets to 4 PM?

I find it hard to believe that they would knowingly make our game national with 2 of the three biggest markets having their eyeballs occupied elsewhere.

Of course, there may not be a Game 6.The Blue Jays and the Royals could have a Game 7,but that's not going mesmerize NY and Chicago.

Do people not realize this game was selected for a national primetime broadcast in the Spring?
The only question was whether it would be on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

If it ended up being an ABC regional game, the rest of the country would have gotten in on ESPN2 because of the reverese mirror.

Meh. If I wanted to watch grown men scratch themselves and play with their bats, there are probably Tumblr sites for that. Who needs ABC?

First part is true..last part is not. Reverse mirror only applies to 3:30 games. ESPN and ESPN2
has its own prime time slot, so when ABC has 2 or 3 prime time games...they are only regional.

It's rare but it can apply to noon or 8 pm games as well.

Yesterday for example, at noon part of the country got Iowa-northwestern and part got memphis-ole mis on ABC..
Whichever game you didn't get on ABC, you got on ESPN2.

And here are 2 tweets that indicate a reverse mirror at 8 pm was under consideration.

Do you really think MLB gives a single fleeting thought to the Rutgers football program?

It's completely irrelevant, it will have no affect on the attendance and the only markets it will impact is Chicago and NY…it will greatly impact eyeballs locally and Chicago is CUBS crazy, but so what.

I'll be at our game in a pact stadium, will make no difference to me.

Reverse mirror applies to all Big Ten games. Every Big Ten game on ABC has to be available to watch on television in the entire country.
