was the Perkin's halfback pass that got picked off?<div>
</div><div>He said something to the effect of, "Les did a great job play calling and the only play I trumped him on was the half back pass so I will leave the play calling up to him."</div><div>
</div><div>No sure on the exact quote but it was to that point. Thought that was interesting.</div>

You want to tell him to make sure that if the receiver (QB in this case) can't catch the ball no one else can.

that he had wanted to call the play we scored with to Arceto earlier but Mullen made him wait till then- so Dan redeemed himself.

(and I've done my share of it), we need to remember that Mullen is still a young head coach (only 16 games into a career) and that he's going to make some mistakes and learn as he goes. I, for one, at least appreciate that he's making mistakes by trying to be creative. As pissed as I was about the 3rd-and-1 call against LSU, it was way better than Croom punting against LSU a few years ago. Mullen also at least seems willing to admit when he makes a mistake and seems to work to correct things (if no other example, see Torbush, Carl). That's also a marked contrast to his predecessor.

Just my 2 cents.
