Did anyone see that Joe Morrow is now a solid verbal to us?

Also shows that Aaron Morris is now a solid verbal to OM, so I'm not sure how much stock to put into this. I think Morris will end up at OM, but I think he is at least giving us enough consideration to not be a solid verbal to OM. Good thing about Morrow though. Really want to have him as a part of this class.

But Brassell completely eliminated us in an interview with Yancy. It's down to Bammer, OM, and Tennessee.

They now have 28 commits after last weekend, 4 of those are WRs, and I wouldn't think Morrow would flip his commitment w/o first coming back to State for a visit.

Must mean that Morrow cancelled his Ark visit and is taking no other visits.

Morris is back to solid because he visited MSU and stayed committed to OM. I guess there is alwasy the chance he visits Bama, but I don't think that is lined up.

I'm sure you know the scout policy, if not, it says that any committed recruit that takes visits to other schools will be listed as a soft commit.

Morris has already visited Bama.

JUst because Morris didn't commit this weekend does not mean he's coming. After all his visits, he is going to decide.

Just curious, because it seems like there is still some sort of quiet confidence about State flipping him.

I'm sure either Steve or Paul is saying they have sources that say Morris will flip to MSU, or that he's at least leaning that way.

Morris is going to be at UM. Not a question in my mind. The morrow solid verbal is huge. He's going to be a great asset to MSU's WRs.

I think it's just random posters hoping we'll find someone to flip - since Morris was taking a visit, people seemed to target him as the guy that we'd get to flip from UM to MSU. No realinfo to back it up.</p>

stated he had not taken ACT, (see Tig) and therefore could not visit yet. He wont be going to Bama. He is going to Mississippi. A juco in Mississippi. He will be another Powe, looks good on signing day, wont be there for a few years.
Just a question for the Mississippi fans here, how can Whitehead state he still liked state and was visiting this past weekend and Yancy report he had decommitted and wasnt going on his visit out of the same conversation?

Did someone from state piss in brassells cheerios or something? I mean damn, he went from committing twice to us, leading the dpr at the title game to just decommitting and not considering us is a couple weeks. I'm not that concerned with getting him, but it just seems weird. It makes me wonder if maybe WE were the ones that decided to not take him because of eligibility issues. Just a thought, unlikelyt but possible.

Serious question, whenwill Bama fans ever admit to losing a recruit to OM or MSU. Answer = never.

Brasell hasn't taken the ACT. He has taken the ACT practice exam which qualifies him to visit.

And when you lose a guy, is it necessary to justify the loss with he won't qualify? Do you realize that this same **** is said every year here? Nick Parker & Delvin Jones weren't going to qualify last year according most here. And most of those statements were in a thread about how they hadn't taken the ACT yet. Deja vu.

Deja vu, indeed.

Yes. As it is on every message board in college football. Please, enough with the lectures.

So you expect the head coach to forcehim to honor his first commitment because he is trying to teach a lesson?

Any coach can and should preach the meaning of commitment to his players every day, but in the end, his HS football career is over and there is nothing his coach can do to make him stick with his first commitment. It's not the coaches decision.

What the hell did he think he was going to do if Brassel did decide to sign somewhere else. Same with the NCAA and Ohio St. Just WTF does the NCAA think it's going to do if some of the suspended players decide to play in the NFL next season?

Brassell is one mixed up confused young man. Obviously he's very talented and I'm sure we would take him if he somehow decided on his own he wanted to come with us but I sort of get the feeling like you that Mullen maybe got fed up with dealing with him and decided he wasn't worth the trouble. That would make the most sense as to why we went from a public commitment to not even on the radar. Brassell's recruiting situation has been strange from the start.
