at winning 6-7 games if we had not preshit the bed yesterday, along with Texas/Arch looking very mediocre, and UPig also very average ? It really is/was set up for us to have a really nice season.

We’ve played two games that were Very Winnable!
One at home and one on the road.
Turnovers and stupid play calls/coaching decisions cost us both.
TX may be the game we put it all back together.
This is a winnable game for us.
Arkansas may be also.
UM, it’s the Egg Bowl and if we’re healthy and have all players back and don’t sustain any other crucial injuries, then that game is a toss up too.
So, we still have a chance to get 7 wins.

MSU is improved and some of these other teams are overrated or having a bad year. The chances are there, but is MSU good enough to capitalize on those opportunities? They've blown 2 opportunities already, got 1 victory over ASU. Can they get 1-2 more this year? Maybe everyone laughing at them will motivate them to play better down the road. Or they'll fold like a cheap tent. Time will tell.
I thought 3-4 wins going in. When we got that I was hoping for 2 more to get to 500 for the year. Still possible but me being the pessimist that I am I don’t see it now.
Regardless of wins and losses we have a HELL-of-LOT better football team than I thought we'd have.
@paindonthurt and I actually have a bet. I took his bet at 2-1 odds. If the team wins 5 or more games, I will take 6 months away from the board, plus 1 more month for every game we win over 5. If it’s 4 or less, he has to take 3 months off.
I mean… nothing would make me happier than losing this bet, but I’ve also seen nothing this season that makes me believe I’m going to.
Honestly, I thought we’d win 4, but I thought we’d lose to ASU and maybe beat Arkansas or Florida (but not both). ASU was a pleasant surprise. Now we’ve blown our opportunity at Florida and Arkansas is looking a helluva lot better than they did a few weeks ago. Texas looks a helluva lot worse, but I think we need to be up 2 scores on them in the last 2-3 minutes for Lebby not to find a way to blow it.

Or just as easily 3. Can’t play what if only in one direction. Everybody could have 6 wins by now if you do that. Well, not everybody but close.
I am just going to say that I hope Saturday was the culmination of the learning curve for Lebby, and he makes the choice not to **** the bed again! We left 2 games on the table, BUT, we are a improved team, so If Lebby will choose to acknowledge and learn from mistakes, I guess I still have hope that we take a SEC game that no one believes we can!
Coming into the season, I thought that 6 wins was a delusional pipe dream.
Now, i still don’t think we’ll get there, but not because of a tough schedule or complete lack of talent. It’ll be because we can’t get out of our own damn way
