Really fun game to watch and congrats to the team on the win.

It did confirm that the 'Hub D' is definitely needed and is effective. For some reason it almost seemed that they came into the game not fully grasping how good of a shooter hubbard can be nor how really challenged we are around the basket. The constant trap and tight double on Hub 30+ feet out should result in a bunny fest but we struggle to make teams pay. I was surprised how long it took for them to figure that out.

I will give our entire team credit though, they did step up enough to win the game when they could have easily folded with four minutes to play.

Yep. I was having flashbacks to the three SEC games that we have lost where we had double digit leads. Hopefully we can make a strong finish in our last five. Barring a miracle run in the SEC Tournament, NCAA is out, but could make the NIT.

Top 12 Power Conference teams in the NET get the NIT auto bid. We were 20th before last night and will probably move to 17th.

I'm not sure it's that simple. If there were a "Hub D" that really worked, everyone would do it all the time. Sometimes a player just gets hot and there's not much you can do about it.

Some of the threes he hit in the first half were simply ridiculous. As an opposing coach, you want him to shoot from that far out. He was just hotter than a two dollar pistol. When someone is in that kind of zone, you just tip your hat.

The shot Hubbard hit from the corner with under 1:00 to go to seal the game was insane as well. It was the only time he was open the entire 2nd half and he made them pay.

Hubbard made the SportsCenter top 10 or whatever it was. They had a several minute long thing on him.
