That was insane. FOUR missed PAT in a single game and five consecutive for an NFL kicker. I feel for the guy but I don't see how he keeps his job going forward knowing he is capable of that level of ineptitude and never knowing when it might pop-up. Reminded me of watching Mark Wohlers trying to pitch for the Braves after he 'lost it'.
Jerry and McCarthy said they’re sticking with Maher for the 49ers game. Don’t really have much of a choice. A coach is not going to want to sign a guy off the street to kick in a divisional playoff game. Maher had a great season, so it was mystifying to see him struggle to make PAT’s last night.
Swede say he heard Merlin is coaching Dallas special teams and had Maher running sprints on the sidelines while Dak was driving the field.

You have to think that's just a fluke thing. Dude was 29-32 on FGs this year, including 9-11 over 50 yards.

For an NFL Kicker who missed that many EPs, it almost makes me think he had money on the game one way or the other. I don't gamble or even know what the line was, but missing that many?.....maybe a personal bet nobody knows about. It's like an NBA player making all his 3 pt shots and then going 0-10 at the line.
