Did Brunetti's Check have "Janitorial" in the memo line...

The only time he gets game action is during mop up duty.

Wonder how many sleepless nights he has had, now that the delusions of grandeur have dissipated.

I think Dan would have utilized his athletic ability in some way. Not let him rot on the sideline as a backup for life. Dan seems to to a great job changing a position to utilize skill of talented players.

But then again, money is sometimes the only thing that makes people happy. Personally, I'd rather win games.

I think he'll be moved to RB next year and take over Mackey's role. Miller to be backup with Kincade or Buchanan at 3rd.

i think he will be the starting qb by november. i dont see wallace lasting the season for several reasons...not the least of which is O line play. but i do agree that the offense would need to change somewhat to suit him

Point being..

Had he signed with and come to us, I think Dan would have utilized him much sooner and more often than he has been. We seem to get those type players on the field some way. Dan probably didn't provide those false promises of sterting QB for 8 years.

Just wondering if he's second guessing his decision now that he's seeing the truth. I believe you reap what you sow and for whatever reason he went there, we don't need him. He's obviously swayed by something other than what counts most, Winning, and now he's not playing much on a **** team.

You saying we wouldn't have taken him as a transfer?

Guess mini Favre was better and we couldn't have used him!

If he'd wanted to transfer, I'm pretty sure we'd have let him. But that's hard when the bears continue to recruit him even after he's on campus at WVU.

Brunetti has little upside.

True. I don't think he'd have made any impact at State whatsoever. Now, Wallace is a different story. I wish like heck he had come to Starkville. He would have been able to step in for an injured Tyler Russell without us missing a beat. Dakota Prescott doesn't appear to be nearly as good as Wallace (yet).

We would have used him in the same role as Dak is sort of being used. As kind of a running compliment to Tyler.

Todd, please disregard if i completely misunderstood your post. You may have meant that we would have used Brunetti in the same role as Prescott. I initially thought you meant we would have used Wallace in the same fashion as we use Prescott.

"I agree. But, if he were called on to run the same offense Tyler runs, Wallace would be able to do it because he can pass the ball quite well from what I've seen. I cannot say the same for Dak Prescott. Prescott should be quite good by the time he is a sophomore or junior. However, he has major accuracy issues thus far as a RS freshman. If Russell goes down with a season ending injury, State is in deep kimchee. Wallace would have been a great insurance policy in such a scenario. He is good enough that he would have seen playing time at State anyway. One cannot blame him for wanting to step in as an instant starter in Oxford though. Just hope the SOB doesn't beat us in November. That "shouldn't" happen given TSUN's paper defense, but it "could" happen given our crappy soft zone defense."

I was talking about Brunetti in our offense

But I see now that you were talking about Wallace- so my bad.

I do agree about Wallace- I wanted him for depth purposes and I think we would have asked him to run a lot less than what Ole Miss is doing.
