Did Henderson say something to Coach Ray or not?

Ray is taking the high road and nipping this in the bud
If Ray says he mouthed off in response to what Henderson said, then Ole Miss can come back and say Henderson didn't say anything or wasn't talking to Ray or whatever, and this story gets dragged on another couple of days and the SEC office might get involved, which we do not want to happen. Ray is basically putting this issue behind him and it will all be forgotten about by the weekend.

From the video, you can tell he is jawwing but I can't really tell what he is saying.
Haven't seen where Henderson has offered any apology for his actions & don't expect to see it.

Ray won the game. He was standing 10 feet away from the most hated college basketball player and told him "17 you" and got away with it. Not a word was said by the school or SEC office. I reckon 1/2 the reason is they hate Henderson as much as anyone does, 1/2 because he went over the top to apologize before anyone could say anything about it. Our head coach saying "17 you" nearly point-blank to Henderson is all I'm ever going to remember years from now when people bring him up. Not that he instigated it or that he was suppose to be off the team for that game... it's that Rick Ray is awesome. End of story.
Is that all it takes for you? I mean, your coach lowered himself to Henderson's level... I don't blame him, I wish Henderson wasn't such a jerk but a grown man should keep his head in that situation. Coach Ray didn't. Not a big deal really, but I bet he wishes he had just looked away.
There's a difference in a MSU coach hypothetically saying "17 you" to Bo Wallace who runs his mouth and is a punk but isn't a felon and a Rick Ray saying "17 you" to Marshall Henderson. The 1st wouldn't be acceptable, and in that case it would be warranted for Ole Miss fans to say "YOUR COACH IS A GROWN MAN"... but Marshall Henderson isn't a little kid and he isn't just saying he has better teammates than anyone in the SEC. He's my age, and I've had much worse come my way from people much older than Rick Ray. Let's not act like this is MHSAA.
Let's not sugar-coat it. Marshall Henderson is 23 years old- HE is a grown man too. Don't pretend that he's some junior high coir boy.
I do find it hilarious that UM fans are saying that Ray is "unprofessional," while they are okay with their football coaches getting into drunken twitter fights with rival fans. At least what Ray did was in the heat of the moment.

Look, what Ray did was not acceptable for a head coach. He apologized. However, over the past few days, all of the OM clowns bagging on Ray act like Henderson is completely in the clear. They mention that "he's a character blah blah" and act as if just bc he has a reputation, it's perfectly fine. You know, if Henderson wasn't treated as if he can do no wrong then maybe he'd quit 17ing up.

I could care less what Ray said. Two years from now the only reason we will hear Henderson's name again will be for being arrested or OD'ing. Thankful that he doesn't represent my school.
Exactly. Henderson is a foul mouthed punk. Anytime you get lured in to that world, that **** will come back on you. Almost always you wish you hadn't after it's too late. It's not a world that Ray wants to be in or that he belongs in.
When I was Marshall's age, I was a father, husband, and college graduate with a full time job. If he's not a grown man yet, he never will be.
I am a grown man, 17 you, and guess what I didn't feel bad about it at all. Coach Ray said exactly what everyone else would like to in one form or another to that POS!
