Did we learn anything new about KY last night?

They still gave up more than their season minimum of 32 points. The defense is unreal bad. I was a little surprised it took USCe so long to get rolling on them. As usual though, Spurrier made adjustments at half time and they also wore them down.

No - typical of a bad team. They can play some teams close but eventually - they will find a way to lose. Last night's first half was purely emotion and it ended when they didn't score at the end of the first.

If Smith doesn't play, I think we kill them. They played hard last night and

got beaten down in the 2nd half. They burned up all their emotion and will probably come out flat.

Regardless, with State's history they can't afford to look past Kentucky..or any other team..there are no gimmes.

Exactly.

We learned that they are still a SEC team. They are not going to give us the game just because people say they are a bad team. Just like South Carolina had to yesterday, we're going to have to go up there and beat them.

Learned they can come out with a lot of heart and passion against the #6...

in the country. They were playing in their superbowl and trying to save their coaches job. Two bad recruiting seasons have left them w/ little senior and junior talent and leadership. They are thin and can't maintain a strong push into the second half (don't forget they got every break in the first half--Carolina db tips a pass to their wr; qb fumbles during a sack and they recover on the one--and there were others). Your db's will have a field day against that freshman qb if he is still playing. Joker needs to go bowling or get fired. With each loss that will become less and less likely and i expect their staff and players to lose some passion down the stretch. Most likely SEC coach to get canned? Joker.

And they extended their streak of not scoring an offensive touchdown in the 1Q to 18 games.
