He asked them to refrain from "self help," during terrorists attacks against them. So he apparently wants the citizens to not arm themselves and wait for help to arrive. Let the carnage happen.

You can bet your life, if Kerry were in Israel, he would have armed security guarding him. But I guess he's an elite who must be protected. To hell with the average family.

Except we provided a bunch of Patriot batteries and were actively in a 6 month long air war.

The equivalent response would be us sending a MEU ashore and posting them on the West Bank and actively running snatch and grabs in Palestine.

Exactly. We were providing Israeli defense. Kerry simply wants the citizens to stop defending themselves. Absolutely amazing.

I can speak for absolute certainty of their effectiveness. If it wasn't for Patriot, my *** would have been smoked the opening night of the war in 2003. They intercepted 2 inbound scuds for our location, both occurred while I was flying a mission and rattled checklists and Tech Manuals off of the shelves in the control station I was flying out of.

Perhaps you were speaking of the instances where the Scud was intercepted by Patriot but the warhead still fell?
