From the GOP being able to convene the Convention of States on their own with no DNC support. Think about the ramifications of that!

Had no idea. I knew the Dems had suffered huge losses at the state level, never knew it was this bad.

I would be up for a Convention of States. Can't drain the swamp with a President. We have seen the "Deep State" fight back with a vengeance. We can't let career bureaucrats leak and destroy to protect their fiefdoms.

The Dems have moved so far left, I think we see one or more states move to the GOP in the near future. Most Americans are appalled by what they see. Even libs are turning against the radicalism of the new left.

Yes it does have ramifications;both good and I would think bad . Good -- Would let us control term limits, salaries and benefits for Congress; could put a stop/or control to the Lobbyist activities. Bad - I will defer until I have put more thought/research to it. It has been 50+ years since my History/Problems of Democracy classes.

It depends on your point of view. If an overwhelming majority of states want changes, it's called a Constitutional Republic. Not everyone will be pleased but the system is working.

I'll go on record and say that a CoS with a supermajority of one party is bad, I don't care which party it is. The risk far outweighs the good that can come from it.

Agree with that..old guard on both sides need to go. (Not going to happen.)

As millennials advance in age and get a real understanding of life many will flow rightward.

While the states my be run by the GOP, I am not sure they are on the same page at all. There seem to be many different brands within the party (e.g. Libertarians, Reaganites, including Trump's more populist brand). So, I think you concerns about one party rule are ameliorated quite a bit.

May be wrong, but I believe we presently have a Constitutional Republic now.

Article 5 of our constitution allows Calling for a Convention of States.

I agree with you. Not sure the logic of your post. I said if the right majority of the states want it, they get it. That is the very definition of our Constitutional Republic.
