from some strange disease. I seem to remember a guy who played for Croom that just withered away before our eyes from his illness. For the life of me I cannot remember his name?

The article was not clear. It quoted Favors saying losing Garner but the way I read it was losing him from football and not life. I do not remember any kind of tribute for him like wearing his number on a jersey or anything

a guy named Rodney Stowers back before then. Unsure of dates, but he had a leg injury that got infected if I'm not mistaken, and died of the complications (Late 1980's maybe?)

It was Rodney's 1st year to start and he had a breakout game against Texas early in the season, then broke his leg at Florida the next week. The following week a blood clot from the break went through his heart and killed him. I'll never forget that. My brother's girlfriend at the time went to high school with him and said he was one of the nicest guys she knew. And he would have been a great player. He was dominant in the Texas game and he was just a sophmore.

Rodney broke his leg in the Florida game at Florida. He developed an embolism (clot) from that injury and died a few days later.

did anything ever get resolved about Nick Turner's disappearance? I googled, and the last dates I saw were August 31/Sept 1, 2010, when he was still missing. Was anything ever confirmed?
