If Hanover loses is it possible EV and chancellor jump them?
With many of these teams being within a tenth or two, and you have the rider points for 10 teams wins or loses this week, I think you can see some pretty wild swings.
I personally loved the straight up 16 team playoffs. The last two years we didn't speculate quite as much about first round seeding. #1 through #6 usually had pretty easy first round match ups. And only a couple of teams really we're occasionally worried or excited about making it in as #16. Or being #8 instead of #9 and getting a home game.
I know that's a little silly, but I liked it that way. And Good Lord, please don't let me get another thread going about the playoff system. My only point was to say that there was minimal scrutiny of the points near the end of the seasons the last two years, in the regions that qualified 16 teams.

I get what you're saying but personally speaking I like the regional feel that we have this year with two 8-seed brackets. I think too it generates a lot more talk and that's always a good thing.
Well, you know it was driven by the prospect of bigger gates. And, it probably will accomplish that in most of the games.
Dinwiddie at Hanover or Monacan would be huge. Dinwiddie travels as good as anybody in these two conferences. The Hanover home crowd is always huge. And the Monacan faithful ain't no slouch.
And I'm not discounting the fan support of the other teams in these conferences have, it's just that I wanted to point out what these two matchup would result in.
But like I said elsewhere. Right now, nothing is important but Meadowbrook. I don't know if a loss would knock Meadowbrook out of the playoffs, but it won't matter. They will play like its the state championship game. And so will we.
If Varina was too beat HS, the world will stop on its axis.
Ouch, that's a haul. If, by some strange chance we hosted EV, as Mike shows above, how many fans do you think would make the trip to Dinwiddie? I have to be honest, on a Friday night, if the game was played up there, I don't think we would have more than 500 make the trip. And that may be a little high. A round two game would probably add 100 or so fans. If it was a round three game maybe 1000 fans make the trip.Eastern View is 45 more minutes west of those Fredericksburg teams
Considering Hanover has the hardest schedule by far.....in my opinion it doesn't matter. They are a 2 seed. Easy. If they win this week, 1 seed by far. Unreal the gauntlet and without the best player in the region.
EV would probably have the same DP 500 or less. I will say that when EV went to Jefferson forest past year they had just as my fans as forest and that was a Friday night. Anyone who comes to EV will enjoy the amenities of a nice stadium it's like a mini Louisa jungle with fireworks fog etcOuch, that's a haul. At Dinwiddie, I'm confident we would have better than 3000 fans at any of these games.
With a Hanover loss it will be:
1. Courtland 29.3 vs. 8. King George 22.6
4. Chancellor 28 vs. 5. Hanover 27.7
2. Monacan 28.6 vs. 7. Louisa 25.8
3. Eastern View 28.1 vs. 6. Dinwiddie 27
Hanover wins:
1. Hanover vs. 8. King George
4. Eastern View vs. 5. Chancellor
2. Courtland vs. 7. Louisa
3. Monacan vs. 6 Dinwiddie
A lot riding on Hanover vs. Henrico
If Henrico wins then EV hosts Dinwiddie and courtland hosts King George, chancellor would host HanoverI'm rooting for Henrico because I like the matchups better if Hanover loses. Courtland-KG rematch and 3 540 vs 804 matchups. The bottom brackets would give two rematches EV-Chan, Courtland-Louisa with only 1 matchup between 540-804 teams.
It hasn't been mentioned, but in free lance star it says Chancellor QB has broken ankle out for rest of season...If Hanover wins they will be 1 seed and most likely host King George, EV host chancellor .....
that's a big loss from an offensive standpoint both running and passing but the backup did a more than adequate job last week. Chancellor won't make a deep run but no one should underestimate them. They'll win their first playoff game. After that, we'll see if they can surprise someone.Yes ankle is broke and is done for the season
Next year they might be the favorite but I've seen the mist surprisingly things happen to teams that are "suppose" to be that good with all they have returningthat's a big loss from an offensive standpoint both running and passing but the backup did a more than adequate job last week. Point well taken because it's so true.Next year they might be the favorite but I've seen the mist surprisingly things happen to teams that are "suppose" to be that good with all they have returning
Last year EV had to travel to JF (Lynchburg) and they packed the visitor side in the freezing coldOuch, that's a haul.
