have ended their pissing contest and all channels are back on the air. Those of us with small kids can once again have our homes inundated by Dora, Diego, and the like.

My daughter will be thrilled. On a side note, I hope DTV keeps that DisneyJR 24hr channel that they added on 289. It's not bad.
The article I read didn't say how the two sides settled on an agreement. I would like to know what the agreement was. Anyone been able to find this?

I don't ever watch the other 2 channels, but the Friday night standup on comedy central is usually the best thing on, Friday nights.

Viacom was in a position where if they gave in to DirecTV, they'd almost certainly be pushed into lowering their fee from Dish and Comcast. But Viacom's channels had decreased in ratings since the last deal, so an increase wasn't justified either. Was kinda guaranteed to be a protracted fight.
ETA: now that i notice that Viacom threw in streaming rights to DirecTV, it makes even more sense.
